About this property
Hollywood Hills Retreat: Private GYM & STEAM ROOM
Summary:
Our spacious open concept home is the perfect getaway- Private and serene yet still in the thick of it.
The backyard is the star of the show with its outdoor dining, large hot tub, fire pit, and grill. Though both rooms have their own full bathrooms, one has a luxurious steam room, and the third bedroom opens into a private gym.
You can easily house 6-7people.
The Space:
Welcome to Laurel Canyon, a dreamy oasis that is just a stone's throw away from all the action when you're ready to paint the town! We're thrilled to open up our 3-bedroom, 2.5- bath AirBnB to you for that break you've been needing. Nestled just off of famous Laurel Canyon Blvd, it simply doesn't get better than this location. Studio City to the north, Hollywood to the east, WEHO to the south, Beverly Hills to the west...no matter which direction you go, it's a straight shot to dive into a variety of LA neighborhoods that you’ll be eager to explore.
If you're looking to get away from it all, you can also just stay put and jump in the hot tub, watch a movie or your favorite show on one of the three big-screen TVs projector, or hike your way through several renowned locations that are less than a 10-minute drive away. Our goal with this property was to create a vacation home that appeals to the full spectrum of travelers: friends, families, honeymooners, world travelers, and everyone in between. The layout can accommodate up to 8 people between the 3 bedrooms and cozy couch.
The house itself has a large and comfortable open-concept living area and a thoughtfully-appointed layout throughout the entire home:
--high-end chef’s kitchen with gas range
--dedicated dining area
--beautifully-styled living room with big-screen TV
--master bedroom with a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom, complete with luxurious steam shower
--secondary bedroom with a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom
--third bedroom with a twin-size daybed, including a rollout trundle
--home gym
--backyard with dining area, lounge chairs and couches, fire pit, hot tub, and outdoor bar
There is plenty of seating and more than enough space for everyone to be together at the same time. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to prepare amazing meals, and there’s a dishwasher and microwave for your convenience. Also, we're coffee addicts, so there is a conveniently-located nook in the kitchen with all the fix-ins for your caffeine needs.
We're really proud of the master bedroom. In addition being very spacious, it comes complete with a proportionately large walk-in closet and a generously-sized ensuite bathroom. The steam shower in the ensuite is a perfect way to unwind after a day of hitting the nearby tourist attractions or soothe your muscles after a rewarding hike. The king-size bed is a great spot to kick back and enjoy some entertainment on the big-screen, wall-mounted TV.
The second bedroom is another relaxing space, outfitted with an ensuite bathroom designed in calming tones. The third bedroom is the perfect place for kids to make use of the trundle daybed, and offers yet another big-screen TV to provide some distraction for the children if parents need to escape to the master for some quiet time on their own.
The backyard is a sight to behold. One of the best things about living in Southern California is embracing the indoor/outdoor lifestyle, and a private outside space of this size is truly an LA rarity. You can’t expect to make the best of this fantastic climate without a hot tub, or a hangout spot with a fire pit, or a grill, or an outdoor dining table…so we made sure we had all of it. The backyard is quite simply a outstanding respite that we know you will find inviting.
In terms of amenities, we’ve got everything you'll need. You’ll have access to the little details that really make a space feel like home, such as an iron, blow dryer, towels, soap, and cleaning supplies, in addition to larger must-have items like a washer and dryer. There is even a charging station and Tesla adapter for your smart car in the driveway.
Between the high-speed internet, printer, and convenient workspaces at your disposal, setting up shop to make your way through that to-do list (should you need to work from home before that all-important R&R) will be a breeze. There’s a pack ‘n play available for any wee ones who might in your party, too. We’ve done our utmost to provide you with everything you might need in order to transform nuestra casa into su casa during the time that you're here at this very special property.
In short, be our guest! We can't wait to host you.
The Neighborhood:
Everyone KNOWS about the Hollywood Hills, now you get to LIVE it! Laurel Canyon is a little oasis amid the crazy of LA. You’re sandwiched between Lookout Mountain and the famous Mulholland Drive. Houdini is basically your neighbor… well not really, but his house is around the corner. Hiking is just up the street. Or if you prefer to drive, some of the most beautiful neighborhoods and lookouts are all around you. Then there’s West Hollywood for a good time and a great Drag Brunch. Drive further north and you’re in Studio City or East and go to the Universal Studios tour (really though, it’s great!)
Getting Around:
LA is definitely a car city. Walking isn’t really an option because you are all the way at the top of Laurel Canyon. But we are so close to everything, an Uber ride is incredibly easy if you prefer not to drive.
If you plan to drink or party, 1000% get an Uber. LA is no joke when it comes to handing out DUIs.
You can easily fit a car in the driveway, but I wouldn’t recommend more. It makes it really hard to pull out. Pulling out onto Laurel Canyon can be scary and you don’t want to be backing up into traffic at night as cars are coming around the corner.
MY RECOMMENDATION: Park on Laurel Canyon Pl (the first left past the house on Laurel Canyon Blvd). You can then go through the white gate and enter the house through the back yard.
If you do park in the front, always use the large circular mirror across the street to see oncoming cars from around the corner.
If friends want to visit it’s better to have them Uber over or park on Laurel Canyon Pl and enter through the back yard. They can park along Amor Street and walk UP, but I do not recommend it (especially at night), because there are no real sidewalks along Laurel Canyon Blvd.
All of this sounds scarier than it needs to be, I just want you to have all of the information. With a max of 1 car in the front and the rest on Laurel Canyon Pl, you’ll be fine.
Other Things to Note:
THIS IS A 30 DAY + RENTAL. If you need to accommodate a group larger than 8 message me about renting the house next door as well.
Interaction with Guests:
