We loved our stay at this beautiful home. This home is very large and has two master suites with jetted tubs. We stayed here for two weeks and it was perfect stocked with everything you could ever need. The pool is huge and beautiful and the hot tub made the trip. We would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful rental in the Hamptons! The house was exactly as described – spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. It had a luxurious feel with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The owner was incredibly attentive, answering all of our questions promptly and making sure we had everything we needed. The house was fully stocked with towels and all the necessary amenities, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend staying here!
David the owner was excellent!!! Answered all my questions quickly.. The property is exactly as pictured. My family came to celebrate my mom and she had a great time seeing all her children and grandchildren. The house was immaculate and big enough for all of us to really enjoy each other and have a little privacy when needed, The pool and hot tub were great and even though the weather wasn't the best we enjoyed ourselves and had a great stay with mom. I would highly recommend this property.
Ok , where do I start ! This place is truly magnificent in every way . Our booking and checking process was flawless. The house is located 12-15 minutes from Sag Harbor . It is situated in a classic neighborhood with large properties with wide roads bordered with granite paver curbs. Staying in this house you’ll feel as if you are living alone in a beautiful wooded retreat filled with 100s of tall oak trees. Lots of space for your family with its 6 bedrooms , 3 of which are master bedrooms. It has 4 large full bath and 1 half . Beautiful wrap around deck with 2 large awnings to protect from the strong heat . Every morning sitting on the beautiful outdoor sofa drinking your coffee overlooking the incredible heated pool listening to the sound of winds blowing among oak trees comes as close to perfection as you have imagine it to be. We spent many hours in the outdoor pool and the large jacuzzi . The house is well equipped, lots of sheets , lots of towels, lots and lots of paper products and Lots of floats for the pool . The grounds are beautiful and well maintained . We definitely 100% recommend this property for you Hampton’s vacation . The owner is extremely responsive and flexible. He takes so much pride in his property as it’s evident by how well and accurate he describes it in the listing . We will definitely be returning!

I LOVED THIS HOUSE!!!
I have stayed in seven different homes using VRBO over the last five years and this listing is BY FAR the nicest! As soon as I walked into the house and saw the open layout , pastel painted walls and welcoming areas I began to breathe differently and leave some of my city stress behind. I walked around the property and did not feel as if I was in New York, it felt like I had traveled to a country peaceful getaway. We did not swim in the pool as the air was a little too cold for me but relaxed in the pool chairs. The windows in the house allow for sunshine everywhere. I loved cooking in the large kitchen and eating our meals either in the cozy kitchen, larger dining room or on the beautiful brand new deck outside. We didn't try any of the local restaurants because we were so happy in the kitchen. The bathrooms are renovated, beautiful and large. I plan on coming back this summer with my extended family and 82 year old mother as the house has a beautiful room on the main floor with a beautiful bathroom which my mother would love. The town which is just a few minutes away has quaint stores to shop in and a lovely sitting area near the water. We didn't have time to go to the nearby kayak area or use the bikes that the house has but hope to in the near future.
Thank you David for a lovely stay and I look forward to coming back again in August! We can't wait to try the new hot tub then!
I have a confession:
There’s a selfish side of me telling me not to review this magnificent property:
“Don’t do it! The last thing you want is to encourage others to stay here.”
It’s true.
The selfish side wants this home available exclusively 24/7 - Whenever I’ve a whim to travel to one of the most beautiful places on earth, Sag Harbor.
The fact is this property is a hidden gem.
The home is spacious. Beautiful. Light, and is surrounded by the most beautiful trees in a quiet location.
What’s especially great is that while it feels you’re in your own private oasis, it’s also an easy launching pad to all The Hampton Main Streets.
You’ve got frozen yogurt at Buddha Berry, local coffee joint Sag Town, the best burgers in town at LT Burger 12 minutes drive to Sag Harbor Main Street, where a walk to the bay is a few steps away.
You’ve got the bay minutes in one direction and the entire Atlantic Ocean 15 minutes in the other.
Southampton, Bridgehampton and East Hampton just around the corner..
And every drive is immersed in the beauty of The Hamptons trees and water views.
Yes, the selfish side is telling me to erase every word here and skip the review…
The selfish side doesn’t want to tell you the landlord, David, is remarkably helpful, attentive, caring and committed to making sure your stay is a one of a kind unforgettable experience.
The selfish side doesn’t want to tell you the Jacuzzi and Pool is amazing, it’s fun to hop into dozens of acres of woods behind the home… it’s a joy to see deer and turkey come to the property and…
Damn. What am I doing?
I should stop now.
But I won’t.
All jokes aside, staying at David’s property for nearly 3 months was an amazing experience. I had my family of 5, with my 4, 6 and 15 year old daughters - and everyone of us loved it and were sad to leave.
So do yourself a favor…
If you’re thinking of renting in the Hamptons, snatch this up quickly…
Because every day you leave it available, you risk one more day for me and my family to decide it’s time to come back and get this ourselves.
The only regret you could possibly have is not getting this property when it’s still available.
And to David: thank you for an incredible experience. We will be back.
We were a family of 12 - from small children to grandparents - and the accommodation was great. The space is bigger than the photos suggest, and having a family room and a separate great room meant loads of space. David was super responsive and nice, and went out of his way to do things to make the stay more comfortable.
We stayed at David's house for a month with our two young kids under 2. David's house is exactly as listed. It is spacious, secluded and quiet- something we were looking for. David is a very friendly host and so quick to respond to. We would love to stay here again when we are back.
I had the pleasure of staying at Laurel Valley Drive for 2 ½ months this winter from November-February 2021 with my two young children. I wanted a quiet place to escape to and my children wanted space to roam and feel free. Our expectations were wildly surpassed and we can’t wait to rent this great house again, hopefully this summer when we can use the gigantic heated pool and 8 person hot tub.
First, the owner was fantastic. He was incredibly reachable and he seemed to really care that we were enjoying the estate. We asked for the best and fastest WIFI and he upgraded without any charge. He helped us navigate the Hamptons and gave us all his local recommendations.
And the house was just great. It is not just that it is large, being almost 4500 sq. feet, or that it has six bedrooms, two which are master bedrooms, and two decks of almost 1000 sq feet overlooking forest. What makes this house special is that it combines private and public in a fantastic way. The house is flooded with light and has windows everywhere. You almost feel as is you’re outside when you’re inside. But there are also so many nooks that you can do your own thing while others are doing theirs and feel a great sense of privacy. The house is located at the top of a hill so you feel like you are king of the world and you hear nothing around you. Laurel Valley Drive is situated minutes from Sag Harbor and Southampton and even closer to Watermill. You can walk to the Bay or do a ten minute car ride to the Atlantic Ocean Beaches.
Lots of space! We loved grilling and eating out on the deck every night.

A Peaceful Light-Filled Oasis In The woods
We had the initial impression that all properties in this price range were basically the same. They would all have a pool, a lot of bedrooms, and a backyard. We thought any cookies from the cookie cutter would be the same. Well, we were wrong and thankfully so.
This Laurel Valley home is just different. The first thing that hits you is the light. Its everywhere. Light therapy to go around. (The AC bills must be exorbitant but luckily thats not our responsibility.) And the double height foyer and dining room make this home feel grand.
I think I had three favorite rooms in the house. The first is the master bedroom with a gargantuan bedroom with a jacuzzi and huge ceiling. Next is a first floor bedroom that six windows in almost a circular fashion. The bedroom feels as if it is the forest. Maybe because it is! And the family room is gigantic with a huge hd tv, french windows facing the pool.
I should also mention the kitchen. If you like everything at your fingertips, this is not the kitchen. You almost require rollerblades to get from one area to another.
This property is close and far from everything. We went paddleboarding, to beaches, the town of sag harbor all within ten minutes. There is even a fresh water lake within five minutes. But once you're home, youre home. The only noise you hear is the rustling of the trees, and the birds.
We were thrilled with the house and only disappointed that we had to leave.

About the host
Hosted by Owner/Manager
I acquired this magnificent estate in January 2017. I work in NJ and live in Manhattan. I use this estate only during the summer months. There is just something very special about this house. I think it is the light that pervades the house around the clock and enters through the multitudes of windows. The house is one huge open space with multiple little nooks of privacy. There are basically three master bedrooms, two with jacuzzi bath rubs. There are two backyards, one with a covered pool and the other with a hot tub. And you must see the gorgeous mahogany deck, the huge kitchen. Or just go for a hike in your own property. But watch out for the deer and wild turkeys!!!
Why they chose this property
What makes this property so special is that you feel like you are living in the forest. Saturday morning I woke up and I saw a wild turkey near my pool and three deer outside its fences. The only noise I heard was from birds chirping.
What makes this property unique
If you like light, this house will be your haven. You have a breakfast nook that gets eastern sunrise, a southern deck that gets the intense afternoon sun, and a western deck that gets the idyllic sunsets,
