Charmingly decorated in soothing shades of sand and sea, this spacious and comfortable reverse floor plan 4 bedroom, 3 bath home offers amazing canal views and limited ocean views from nearly every window. You will find the perfect perch on one of 4 decks, all with either canal or garden views. Located on a quiet street, the neighborhood is perfect for a canal front stroll or bike ride. How about a luxurious soak in the hot tub? Headed to the beach? You will find an easy beach access just two blocks away. There is something for everyone at A Coastal Retreat.

First Floor:
Front West Bedroom: King Bed; access to covered deck with canal views; shares adjacent full bath (tub/shower)

Your beach rental is located approximately 2.1 miles north of the Surf City high rise bridge. You’ll be near the central part of Topsail Island which puts you close to restaurants, shops, Surf City Pier and more! Be sure to visit some local attractions such as the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital and the Missiles and More Museum, which tells the story of our island’s past.

Review

Overall, everything was great. The pots/pans could use to be updated. There was a broken piece of fan laying on the deck. The ceiling fan in the living room needs to be repaired. The dishwasher was really loud, had to choose time to run it to minimize disruption. Having to bring my own sheets and towels to avoid extra costs, was not ideal. (Especially for number of beds). The house was beautiful and perfect location. The outdoor furniture was really nice to enjoy the views. We enjoyed the corn hole set for family game time.

Location Great! House Dated

The location of the house was awesome. Proximity to beach was nice and the neighborhood was quiet. The house overall was dated. Needs new appliances and less furniture in the living room. Bedrooms were nice, bathrooms adequate. And the cleaning staff needs to up their game.

Great stay! Close walk to beach. Would have liked more seating at the table. Showed 6 chairs in ad and only had 5. Very clean.

Everything we expected

Really nice house, perfect location, super convenient to the beach, and a short drive to all the shops in town. Hot tub was great. The grill could stand to be updated and the outdoor shower could use a little attention. But those are minor quibbles. We’ll definitely look here first next time we visit.

Super nice and close to the beach!!

The walk to the beach was so short and amazing! The neighborhood was super nice. There were a lot of food places and shops near the house! The beach wasn’t super busy which was nice. Other than on Labor Day, the beach was pretty much empty! I was hoping the shark tooth hunting at this beach would’ve been better, but we did find a few shark teeth!! But the house was super cozy, and nice. We did see a few bugs in the house, but it was not bad at all. They had a bunch of books and games at the house which was super nice! The biggest downside of the house was that the second level deck (which two of the bedrooms lead out to) has a pretty large active wasp nest. So we didn’t really go out on the deck! But other than that We would definitely stay there again! We loved it!
