We really enjoyed our stay in Cape Cod. The location was excellent—close to the two main beaches and just a short distance from Main Street in Orleans. The home is a lovely older Cape Cod house with a lot of charm, and the host was very responsive. The only downside for us was the lack of privacy. The backyard and outdoor shower were quite exposed because the neighboring house is very open to the property, and they could see directly into the back of the house and yard. Because of that, we didn’t feel completely comfortable using the outdoor shower or sitting in the backyard with our dog.Overall, we had a nice stay and really appreciated the location and responsiveness of the host. Just be aware that privacy in the backyard may be limited.

We couldn't stay because of the terrible odor coming from the basement. I suspect mold. The dryer vent was not connected to vent outside and was accumulating mildew and mold in the crawl space. That being said the host was very agreeable and we were refunded our money. We had good communication and Mandy offered to send her brother to clean A/c vents but it was way more than that, We would have liked to stay, was unfortunate.

Cape Cod

Great location, close to beautiful sunrise and sunset trails, very helpful and responsive owners, use of kayaks a big high point as the area is excellent for kayaking. Also, big plus that we could bring our dog. House had old world charm with a baby grand piano and old mini organ.

This is a lovely home. Unlike some rentals which are more impersonal, you can tell this is a family’s home. The host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating and friendly. The house itself is old, and while comfortable, in need of some TLC. The sheets and bathrooms were clean but the house could use a deep cleaning. The location is terrific for access to Nauset and Skaket beaches and the rail trail and downtown Orleans.
