This has become an annual trip and this house is the staple of it. There are so many options, from the yard, to the pool/jacuzzi/hot tub, to the firepit and lake area for everyone to hang out and have a great time! Can't wait til next year!

Our stay at wildwood was fantastic, great place to focus on family. The house was so spacious. We are a group of 21 people. We loved the pool, played kickball in the yard and brought our boat and enjoyed tubing in a very clean lake.

Thanks for your kind review. We are so happy you had a great stay. Hope to see you again.
The lake was wonderful. We rented a boat from nearby. Also used kayak and canoe from property. Pool was wonderful as well. Also plenty of grassy area for volleyball. Only recommendation is to bring some chairs for beach area and fire pit. Plenty of chairs everywhere else. Kitchen is fully stocked so we cooked in each day. Location is private and large. Had a great time.
We had a big crew that loves to play pickleball, jump in the pool, and blow some steam off in the sauna after an active day at the house that has it all!
Our group of 23 enjoyed this vacation home. The huge vintage lake home was different from our usual beach vacation. The change was welcome and everyone used the pool and lake. Mike and Joan were excellent property managers and were available anytime we had questions.
A beautiful property with a "Grand Old Lady" home on it. Very well equipped, clean, period furnishings, AIR CONDITIONED. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a large group/family. You won't be disappointed.
The house was perfect for our family of 17 adults, plenty of room for everyone and places for those who needed some space to get away from the crowd. If I had one suggestion it would be to put in a second refrigerator, not enough room in one for that many people.

This is our second time vacationing at wildwood estates. The house is magnificent! We have our family reunion here and the house accommodates our large group perfectly. Being able to sit around the large dining tables together provided such quality time! The kitchen is very well stocked and convenient. The kids loved the pool. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful landscape. It’s the perfect spot for a large group.
I recently stayed at this delightful lake house in Wisconsin with a large group of friends, and we had a wonderful time. The house, though very old, had character and charm that added to the overall experience.
The property itself is spacious, comfortably accommodating our entire group without feeling crowded. The vintage decor made it feel like we were stepping back in time, but with all the necessary modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals for a large group.
One of the highlights was the beautiful lakefront location. We spent countless hours enjoying the views and swimming. The outdoor space was perfect.
The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay.
The property was amazing and perfect. My grandson was getting married and Wildwood fit all of his siblings. The electric and heating controls took a while to figure out. There was ample parking for all of us. The lake view was amazing. The walk down over wet leaves was a bit tough. Recommend bulding a walkway. I had a little issue with lockbox, but got the key. Mark was the perfect host.
Our stay at this historic lumbar baron's home was fantastic! The house is incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for our large family (16 people) to spread out and relax. Each room exudes charm, and we found ourselves curious about the history of the place.
We spent our mornings in the beautiful sunroom and lounged outside the rest of the day: by the pool or lakeside. The kids had a blast on the little beach and families enjoyed the kayak and canoe on the lake. My husband even had some good luck fishing! The court was a hit too for playing pickleball.
Appreciated that the kitchen had an extra fridge and deep freezer. The owner, Mike, was helpful and responsive to my inquiries before our stay, and he quickly assisted with a couple of minor issues that arose during our visit.
Overall, this home provided everything we needed for a memorable vacation. Highly recommended for large groups looking for a charming, historic house with plenty of private, outdoor space.
This house was not ready for renters. Some of the bathrooms did not have towels. We found towels, washed them, but could not dry them as dryer was not working. This was replaced the next day. The pool could not be used due to chemicals needing adjustment, which was done the next day. The diswasher top rack needs repair. It collaspsed each time it was opened. The internet was weak or non existent. Our working people had to go downtown to work on Friday. Spectrum came the last night without our permission. We were out for dinner and came back to find a man in the house, who got in by the owner. Really violated our rights. Security cameras are used, but again we were not informed about these. The extra refrig freezer was iced up solid and not useable. As was the free standing chest freezer. Drawers in the kitchen were filled with miscellaneous junk. Lack of flatwear was a problem. Had to get plastic knives and forks.

Hi Kay,
Your review is very disappointing. Your stay started with a request for access to the house at 1:15pm which we granted. Around 3pm we were notified the pool had a green tint. I responded in minutes to you by text, spoke to our maintenance person who had prepped the property earlier in the day, and let you know chemicals were added and it was totally safe to use. I also contacted our certified pool vendor who stopped by the following morning first thing to check everything.
Next, on Thursday at 8pm you texted that there was an issue with the clothes dryer. I had maintenance down there first thing the next morning and it was replaced with a new dryer.
Friday at 8:20am you let us know the internet wasn’t working . I worked with our provider to attempt to reboot it remotely which didn’t work. Our maintenance tech came down and was able to reboot it manually for you when he arrived. Due to the issue with the internet our provider set a time (6pm) the next day to come to the house to look at it. I sent you a text about this. You responded, saying you would not be there at the time. We thought we canceled the appointment for the later time, however they showed up at the house anyway and no one was home. They called the owner not me as they have his number for the account, and he knew you were having ongoing problems so he directed them in to fix the internet. When you got back you texted about this, and I expressed how sorry I was for the mix-up.
The important thing in all this is my team and I did everything we could to make your stay wonderful. When items came up beyond our control the response you got from me and the team was immediate. There was never any mention of any issues with the cleanliness of the house either. We have a company representative do a walkthrough after the house is cleaned by our commercial cleaning vendor to verify everything is in place and done correctly. If we had been notified during you stay I would have gotten to the bottom of it for you.
We are sorry your stay wasn’t up to your standards, but I guess with some folks no matter how hard you try, and what you do, it is never good enough.
We hope you have better luck with other properties in the future.
Joan
We had a wonderful time at the property.
We had almost twenty total people and the house is definitely large enough to fit everyone comfortably. The pool & hot tub were big hits, and we spent a lot of time there during the day. The patio was where we spent the rest of our time. We never really cooked in the kitchen. We brought our own Black Stones for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We utilized the gas grill at the property for burgers and hot dogs.
The lake is not the best swimming lake. The bottom is kind of mucky with weeds and is very shallow. The dock was great for fishing though, and the kids could easily catch panfish.
Mark was very helpful contacting us with the instructions for entry the day prior to our arrival.
Overall, it was a great vacation, and we had a great time. The house and outside landscaping just needs some TLC.
The property reminded me of the Great Gatsby era. The grounds were heavily treed and very private. The home was very large and accommodating. Lots of old world grandeur and architectural elements. Beautiful large pool area and hot tub. Nice patio with a view of the lake. Large kitchen, great bedrooms with large bathrooms. We spent most of our time outdoors, but enjoyed a lot of time in the sunroom which is huge. We enjoyed seeing the deer that are on the property, especially the babies. Made many a bike trip into Delafield for delicious meals, some excellent restaurant options. Shopping is quaint and there is a really nice bike path. The lake is a smaller lake, but quiet and clean. Wish it was more sandy off the beach, lots plant life off the beach and around the dock. Canoed around the lake and rented a pontoon one evening for a sunset cruise. We are a tennis playing family so we enjoyed time on the tennis courts too! Very positive peaceful experience. Mark was very responsive to any needs and questions.

Many thanks bags were disappointing and challenging throughout the weekend
The property was dirty, vacuum cleaner left in the middle of the living room when we arrived, sticky countertops, tablecloth in main dining room was filthy, no trash bags on the property, all the outdoor trash cans were completely filled up with trash when we got there so there was no place for us to put our trash, not enough toilet paper (we had to go buy some), no firewood cut for fire pit, some lights didn’t work when we arrived, no remotes worked - needed new batteries, one floor lamp was so filled with bugs that when we turned on the light it started to smoke. The biggest challenge was the electricity went out due to a storm at 10:30 pm on Friday night and did not go back on until Sunday morning at 6:30am. There was a generator which the manager walked us through on how to start it but it only gave power to some light and the central air. There was no power to the appliances and 3rd floor window air conditioners - for the entire weekend. We had major challenges feeding the guests that stayed there with no refrigerator, freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher. We had to manually light the stove. We had to throw away some of the food because there was no way to keep it cold overnight. We ended up getting ice on Saturday from Chenequa Country Club nearby. By Saturday evening it was unbearable for the seven guests staying on the third floor. Several of them stayed in the living room to try and stay cool. Super disappointing and no partial reimbursement offered upon request

We apologize that you feel your stay at our property wasn't as exceptional as all others that have stayed at our property. Our goal is that we meet all the needs and expectations of our guests within our control but unfortunately, we can't control nature which can cause power outages at times. With that being said a three-night complimentary stay was offered and turned down by the guest. The property manager was out at the property Saturday in-person and no other concerns were brought up at that time or any other time during this stay other than the power outage. The cleaning company we work with is very responsive, and if there were concerns brought up, they would have responded and addressed them immediately. Again, we apologize your expectations weren't met to the standard that all other guests have reviewed.
Thanks,
Mark F.
The house accommodated my whole family and there was so much to occupy our time. The pool was number one on everyone’s list. We spent most of our time at the pool or enjoying the patio and the view of the lake. We had a great time.
Lake Front 10,500 Sq. Ft. Historic Oconomowoc Home w 8 Bedrooms & 8 Baths in Secluded Setting
"Wildwood Estates" was built over a period of three years from plans dated 1910. The owner traded in lumber and coal, and would travel from his home in Philadelphia by private train car, then "buggy up" to Wildwood to spend the summer months.
You will find traces of the history of this historic home throughout this beautiful property, which was an unexpected and pleasant bonus.
There were (8) adults, (1) teenager, (5) children under the age of twelve and (1) infant in our group. The property is vast and has something for everyone. Days were spent at the large in-ground pool, in the poolside hot tub, on the sandy beach, on the pier fishing, taking the pontoon out on the lake to swim or fish, playing tennis at the on property court, playing horse shoes at the on property horse shoe pits (horse shoes provided) , and gathering for meals made in the large kitchen or around the grill. Nights were spent playing pool in the billiard room, watching movies in the media room, roasting marshmallows around the lakeside firepit, or gathering around the long table in the great room playing cards or board games.
There is so much to do at the property and so many extras (like blow up toys for the pool, canoe, kayak, beach chairs, tennis courts, horse shoes, media room, board games and puzzles, etc.) that you do not need to leave. However, a day trip was made to Delafield (right down the road) to visit Wholly Cow Frozen Custard (a local recommendation and a huge hit w the kids); Blue Collar Coffee (a must); and Great Harvest Bread Company (where you'll find homemade bread loaves and cinnamon rolls the size of a dinner plate). Delafield has a walking path downtown with a small covered bridge perfect for photos.
Whether sitting on the patio looking out on the lake or in the sitting area reading a book, or enjoying one of the many amenities, our time at Wildwood created lifelong memories for our adult children and grandchildren. We loved every minute of it and highly recommend the property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is exquisitely decorated. The bedrooms are large with very comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. There are plenty of rooms to accommodate our group for meals and just visiting with each other. The pool was a huge hit with the kids and adults. From our past experience most lake homes do not have a beach. This was a really nice addition. We enjoyed the lake as it is very calm for boating, kayaking and paddle boarding! (We supplied the paddle board) The house is very well equipped with recreational equipment. We would definitely recommend this property!
What a weekend! What a property! We wanted to stay in a big place all together for our son’s wedding weekend- and this stately , old style but updated multi bed/bath was great! It went on and on- it was so fun to explore the rooms and history! The lakefront was beautiful- the amenities great! Lots of seating area inside and out. Mark was super responsive when we accidentally blew a fuse with our hairdryer! He talked us through how to get it switched back on. Saturday after the wedding we had family over for an outside brunch and everyone couldn’t get over how cool the house was! Thank you, Wildwood Estate and Mark for a very memorable weekend!
