It wasn’t terrible but could have been better for the price that was paid.

Check in was fairly easy. I reached out beforehand to see if we could check in early, no response for a good while. I ended up having to text the emergency number to get someone to answer back to me. Theres mold in the down stairs bathroom. Rat droppings in the kitchen drawers that was seen when my one year old opened them to try and play in them. Looked under the bed for some of our belongings that got pushed under there and there was food, dirt, dust and garbage under master bed. Hot tub speakers didn’t work which was no big deal to us but to some it may matter. It seems like a better option from photos on the listing. No shower upstairs only a toilet and jacuzzi. So everyone had to share the down stairs shower again no big deal for us but to some it may be. I just think for the price that was paid it could have been better. Updated pictures and details about the cabin are needed on the listing.

Updates are needed

(Note to owner) Please invest some money into this property. It would take too long to dive into the details of why we would not stay here again.Although the location and the views are great, the house is in serious need of some TLC.Simply put, Replace furniture, hire new cleaners, get mold testing done before someone gets really sick, fix the decks and railings, replace the bedding, and for the love of god... STOP TRYING TO COVER EVERYTHING IN FABREEZE.i have never given a bad review, so I feel a little bad, but I would not suggest this home to anyone in its current shape.

Beautiful wildlife

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin was dusty and dated but cozy and comfortable! We had the most fun seeing the bears!!! The old cabin is beautiful and the real mountai. I loved that we had a little privacy around the cabin. We had trouble with the hot tub but we would definitely come back to this adorable adventureous cabin

I loved the cabin. It was very cozy and it slept 6 adults and 3 children very easily. The location is great!! The only negative was the house cleaning. Upon arrival it was very dusty and I’m not sure our sheets were clean. The floors under the furniture were not clean. I would’ve given it 5 stars if it had been cleaned. The breaker box on the outside would not shut. Very dangerous with children around. My dad tied it shut he also fixed the American flag. Like I said I loved the cabin but if I were the owners I’d find a new cleaning service.

It was ok.

Our stay was ok but there were some issues. I should have read the reviews before staying. The front stairs are very slippery when wet. Me and someone else staying with me slipped. Possibly broke bones.Couches need to be replaced. They are so broken you almost can’t sit on them. Other than that, I could tell that someone had cleaned before we arrived which I appreciated because I was prepared for it not to be- from the previous reviews- but you can tell that it could use more cleaning and things need to be replaced.

Needs some updates location was great!

Cooking utensils and pans were filthy had food on pans. Lightbulbs were missing. The whole house just needs to be gone through and cleaned up a bit. New mattresses needed in all rooms! TV remote upstairs couldn’t get it to work. Could use more decent towels. The best thing were the 3 baby bears on the hot tub!

Gatlinburg rental cabin

Do not stay herd. The cabin is old, dilapidated and dirty. The photographs are at least 25 years old. The deck is rotten and dangerous. There were cigarette ends and ash all over the deck. The inside has mice droppings in the kitchen. We did not stay in the cabin, instead found another cabin which was much more suitable.

SAD

I spoke to the owner several times, very nice people, but the services for this cabin was Terrible. Grass was knee high when we arrived on Thursday afternoon and didn't get cut until Sunday Late afternoon the day before we left. The hot tub was full of leaves and and debris so we never attempted to fill it as we had no skimmer to remove the debris. We had no garbage can as owner said a bear pulled it over the ledge from the previous renters and still had not been pulled up so all the Garbage had to stay in the cabin. Plumbing isn't very good so BE CAREFUL. Bathtubs weren't clean so we had to clean the one downstairs before we could shower. Didn't attempt to clean the jetted tub upstairs. The best part was the Amazing Views of the mountains minus the whatever had Pooped on the front and back porch that was there to greet us upon arrival. Looks like the porches hadn't been cleaned in months.

Cabin was out dated inside. The email I got said there was a welcome book and there was no welcome book. So we had to figure out how the connect our kids phones to Wifi. There was leftover coffee from someone else in the cabinet. The cleaning crew left linens in a pillow case on the couch. It was a great location and lots of room in each of the rooms. The view was beautiful and the hot tub was amazing.

An honest review

I tried emailing my contact for the place beforehand to make sure we payed our pet fees, but was unable to get him and ended up having to contact evolve directly, instead. Upon arriving we found a note to the owners from the previous occupants that nobody had been by to pick up, that along with a completely unmade and sheet-less bed upstairs led us to believe nobody had been by to clean before us even. Nobody staying with us was very happy with the cleanliness of the place, it could use a deep clean. To their merit, when I called my contact they had somebody come out put sheets on the upstairs bed, and later to drop off additional sheets for the pullout couch and empty the trash cans that had not already been emptied. The hot tub is really nice, touch screen, Bluetooth stereo, lights, and a super good top. It was nice having the fireplace in the living room. The beds were all very comfy, as was the couch. The outlet that the TV hooks to doesn't work, we had to use an extention cord, and not because the switches control some outlets, that outlet just didn't work. The house is at the end of the road which is nice. The front porch has a pretty nice view. The floor is messed up in some places. A missing piece in the kitchen under the rug and it's a bit rough in a few other places. The tile is cracked in the downstairs bathroom and there was only a cotton shower curtain, with no liner so it would get wet. There was a squirrel/ mouse/chipmunk crawling around and chewing in the attic space above the downstairs bath. The upstairs bath is pretty nice. The whole house is decorated pretty interestingly, lots of native American stuff. Overall I wouldn't bring my wife or mom back, but would be good for a group of guys. The location is good for a decent price.

Run Down

When I got there, the place had not been cleaned. They did show up 1 hour later and did a good job. Master bed sunk in the middle (very uncomfortable). Many dishes were dirty. Mice dropping in the silverware tray. Many things needed fixed. For the money I spent, things should have been much better

Remote yet Not Remote

It is a really cute log cabin with a remote feel, and yet you are close to all the conveniences of Gatlinburg. The view was beautiful and the beds were super comfy! We loved the wood burning fireplace and got really, really good use out of it, as a storm had knocked out electricity for the first few hours of our stay. We still had a wonderful family time at this cabin.

I just wanna say something different about this place!:(

To begin with, the beds are not comfortable, there is a hole in the middle of the mattress, water falls into one of the downstairs dressing rooms from the upstairs bathroom, the sink is very covered, there is little light, we found food remains in one of the bedrooms . The lights outside were not working, I would like to say the opposite but that is what we found, I hope they take action on the aforementioned damage, the wifi did not work, the place is beautiful, the view but they have to give it proper maintenance for future visits , and we also found cockroaches.

Needs some updating and minor repairs but ok

The cabin was cute. No problems getting inside although we had a little trouble finding the property. Enough space for the family. There were however a few minor issues...the headboard to the upstairs bedroom was not attached to the bed, the jets didn't work in the jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom, couldn't get the hot tub outside to work either and the water was dirty so we weren't able to use it, the trash was not emptied prior to our arrival and it was overflowing to where we didn't have anywhere to dispose our own trash and I think there was a "visitor" that was there when we left the cabin to go to the movies because we came back to the trash that was left in the dumpster outside scattered all over the ground under the carport. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Cabin

The cabin kitchen sink was plugged and wouldn’t drain and also had a leak so I had to put a pot under the leak to catch water. Had bugs inside the house and inside the microwave. I killed several of them during are stay. Also couldn’t find the welcome book and the internet password and my contact neva answered the phone or responded to my emails. Overall I love the location and I love the cabin. I think it just needs someone that actually checking and keeping things in order.

Needs a Little TLC

Well. We had an unwanted guest the first night that ate my loaf of bread. We had to go get a couple mouse traps and ended up catching a fat mouse the next day. We loved the location of the cabin and the hot tub was up and working but the cabin does need some work. There were holes in the floor and walls and the outside lights, except for porch, were not in working order. We were warned about a bear in area and it would have been beneficial when we took our dogs out to have some light to see the area around us. Our last full day there we had to go buy, of all things, toilet paper because there was no extra anywhere in the cabin. This cabin has a lot of potential it just needs a little TLC to make it a more enjoyable experience.

This cabin was in a great location, with a grocery store just down the hill for all our snacking needs. Peaceful mornings were spent on the porch facing the mountains drinking our coffee.

Not impressed

Our family recently stayed in this cabin for a weekend. We were not impressed. When we first got there the front porch light didn’t work making it very hard to get in the house. The place was very dirty…..dusty, hair, roaches, mold. Obviously it had not been cleaned prior to our stay. The trash can in the bathroom had not been emptied. The sofas and blankets on the sofas smelled of urine. The TV’s were hard to figure out. We were afraid to plug anything into the outlets because the plugs wouldn’t stay in the outlets and we were afraid it would start a fire. The fireplace was actually worked, but extremely dusty. Needless to say we will not be staying here again. Please read reviews before renting this cabin

VACACATION FROM HELL

Where do I begin...day we arrived notice on door from city stating high water usage and bill had not been paid. I texted numbers from Evolve to let them know of this, owner did call me later to say he had paid the bill. WE HAD NO WATER FIRST OR SECOND DAY OF OUR STAY! No water to brush our teeth, to shower, or make coffee for those days & of course stuck there not going anywhere. We had no Wi-Fi until the third day. Owner sent his housekeeper to turn on water at water main even tho I texted him notice from City that water had been turned off. Sooooo, I knew Monday the city would be coming to shut water off again so another day of vacation gone because as I was sitting on porch waiting for them they drove up to shut it off. By then I was just done using my vacation the deal with crap. Man who came to shut it off must have felt sorry for me when I told him my story, he called his boss and told them we were just renting and leaving Wednesday morning which left one day (Tuesday) to do something fun. I would not come back to that cabin if THEY paid me!!! So disappointed in owner that I talked to extensively and promised to make things right never did and in Evolve for allowing him to treat people that way. The home was lovely, very dusty, beautiful location, hot tub eaten by bears could not use. Owner then lied to Evolve saying he did not say he would refund anything and I have it in all his text to me. WOWWWWWW...just wow!!!

Do not rent

The air conditioner would not cool the house down when I contacted the owner he said the unit was 6 months which it was not. We have no cable and the owner said he called and would have someone there to fix it but they never show up. The odor around the house smelled like something died. There was a lot of bees nest under the carport and the porch look like it was going to fall. The property manager showed up and was no use. She did not have a clue how to fix anything. She swept the filters out with a broom and did not replace them with new ones. The cabin would be nice if they would fix everything that was wrong and update it.
