About the host

Hi there! We're a husband and wife duo originally from northeastern Indiana who relocated to the beautiful mountains of Virginia in 2023. I’m an elementary school teacher, and my husband works in conservation.

We love exploring new places—whether that’s hiking through the woods, snorkeling in tropical waters, or checking out hidden gems in small towns. We also enjoy collecting vinyl records, trying new foods, and making memories together on the road.

We purchased this home in November 2024 and are excited to share it with others as first-time hosts. We’ve poured a lot of heart into making it a cozy, relaxing space, and it means a lot to us that people choose our home as part of their getaway. Hosting allows us to meet new people (even from afar!) and offer the kind of peaceful, welcoming experience we love when we travel ourselves.

We hope you feel right at home here—your comfort is truly our top priority.

Why they chose this property

We were drawn to this area for its peaceful setting, beautiful mountain views, and slower pace of life. We quickly fell in love with the charm of this community and the natural beauty that surrounds it. Whether it's spotting deer in the yard, listening to the quiet in the evenings, or enjoying a morning coffee with a scenic view—it just feels like a breath of fresh air.

It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind, but still be a short drive from local attractions, hiking trails, and great food. For us, it struck the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure.

What makes this property unique

Tucked away on nearly two acres in the quiet hills of White Sulphur Springs, our home is a welcoming retreat that reflects the slower, simpler beauty of West Virginia. Surrounded by towering trees and the peaceful rhythms of the Appalachian foothills, it’s a place to breathe deeply, unwind, and embrace the charm of small-town life. Just a short drive from the historic Greenbrier Resort and scenic hiking trails, this cozy hideaway offers the perfect home base for sipping coffee on the porch, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying all the simple pleasures of country living.
