About this property
Secluded Forest Escape 3 bdm
Located in Orick, CA, the southern Gateway to the Redwood National and State Parks, our 3 bedroom home is just a mile off the highway making it the ideal base location for your family vacation. Secluded, and tucked away, enjoy the peace and solitude of nature, take in the fresh air and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the busy world. It is a short drive to the Redwoods, beaches, Humboldt Lagoons and more.
The house is simple and charming, equipped with modern, basic amenities for a comfortable stay. Very rural and secluded, it is important to note that we are surrounded by lush foliage and trees. During rainy or winter seasons, or high wind, we may lose power a couple times a year, making the experience at the home extra memorable.
Our home features 3 Bedrooms (2 Queen & 1 Twin), 1 Bathroom with tub/shower combo, Full Kitchen, Dining Area, Living Room w/Smart TV.
The kitchen has everything you will need for basic cooking while traveling. There is a refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker and basic cookware.
The living room is comfortable with seating for 4 to 5. The heating system is a forced air HVAC system with thermostat control. We do not advertise the wood burning stove and is available upon request only. We do not provide firewood.
We have some varying board games, books, and puzzles for those times you do not want to leave the house or if the weather is unfavorable and you want to stay in.
There is plenty of outdoor space for quality time with the family or to explore around the house. We do have a BBQ and fire pit available seasonally. Due to our normal varying climate there are periods of heavy growth and periods of little growth that groundkeepers maintain.
Wildlife, including the Roosevelt Elk frequent our property often, as do fox, raccoons, and other critters. Please be advised they are wild animals. As you enjoy their grandeur, keep your distance; they are wild animals, unpredictable & can be dangerous.
Don't forget to take the time to catch a glimpse of the night sky! On a clear night, it Is a sight to see.
Everything in the home is in good working order and set up to enhance the enjoyment of your stay in a rural area.
No outside visitors. No events or gatherings are allowed. No pets.
Do reach out to me if you have any questions or need recommendations for your stay.
Guests have access to the home and yard. We are rural so there may be times wildlife can be seen on or from the property. Do not engage with wildlife.
I go with the flow of what guests indicate they would like for interaction. I am happy to meet up with guests or stay back and provide guests with space. I live one mile from the home and can quickly arrive if needed. I accept phone calls, emails or direct messaging through the listing platform.
