Our family really appreciated our stay at the The Blankenship Farmhouse. In addition to being clean and comfortable as advertised, it was very quiet and the location was perfect for our visit to Redwood National and State Parks. It was located only minutes from the hikes and beaches we wanted to explore! The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious enough for us to cook together and well-stocked with all the tools and cookware for preparing and serving delicious meals, including plenty of coffee, and a refillable water filter. A tankless water heater for ample hot water was a bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! It was clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located to Redwoods National Park. I would stay here again!
What a well maintained and immaculately designed home! Although we didn’t require it, I could tell much effort was put into creating an ADA accessible space. My girls loved visiting the horses. A very comfortable home.
House is adorable, impeccably clean, surrounded by horses, quiet location, roomy, has everything you need, comfortable, warms up quickly (we stayed in November), completely handicapped accessible, covered parking, and right off hwy 101. There's a pizza place and grocery store right across the street, too. We loved our stay!
Lovely property! We appreciated the ramp leading to the front door, as one of our group was in a wheelchair. The kitchen was well stocked and I would highly recommend this property to anyone!
We really enjoyed staying at the Blankenship Farmhouse. We LOVED the PEACEFULNESS and the location as it was very close to the trails we had planned to hike. It was very roomy for our family of 6 and a well stocked kitchen and very comfortable beds. It was very charming!
This cottage was fantastic. Really appreciate the kitchen most of all. We only ate there. Didn’t go to any restaurants. Very clean. Well appointed. Would definitely stay again
This location is a perfect home base for visiting the Redwoods! Central to drive to the best trails and sights from Crescent City to Eureka. Local convenience store a block away. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, washer-dryer, gas grill— all the conveniences of home. Very clean, and decorated so nicely!
The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was beautifully renovated and up-to-date. We had plenty of linens and everything we needed in the kitchen. We went to the elk Meadow and looked for elk and found none, but when we came back to the farmhouse, there were three in our backyard.
We made the choice to stay at the farmhouse in Orick instead of Eureka and it worked out so well. You’re minutes from the best Redwoods hikes anywhere and can get there before the crowds because you’re right there. Very nice accommodations and we’d definitely here again!
Thank you for hosting us in your lovely “birdnest.” We were very comfy and found your kitchen extremely well equipped. We love cooking on our annual trip so it was very important to find everything there. And it is so well located to explore your majestic redwood trails. Wishing you all the best. Check in was easy. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. I could find everything easily. We ate breakfast and dinner in and made lunch to take on the go. Beds were comfortable and this set up worked well for our family of 5. It was nice to have laundry part way through our trip of the Pacific Northwest. The location was great for visiting the Redwoods. It was close to hiking trails and other things we wanted to visit. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
The farmhouse was decorated in such a a charming style and so well equipped! We had an amazing view of elk social interaction-with two juvenile bucks sparring until Daddy elk came and touched noses with one of them. Then another mature buck came and started head butting with the daddy. What a fascinating nature event to witness. Thank you, thank you for generously sharing your piece of a special place on earth with us.
My son and I really enjoyed our stay here. The home is centrally located for visiting the Redwood National and State Parks. It is a very clean and comfortable home that is nicely decorated and has all that you need for a pleasant stay. A truck parked near the house did waken me two of the four nights we were here. I'm a light sleeper though. My son only woke up one of the nights but that was because there was a motorcycle too. Despite the noise from the truck, it was a really great place to stay and I would stay there again when I am in the area.
