Stunning, Private Oasis on 3 acres in Trinidad!

Welcome to our Stunning Private Oasis just outside of the seaside village of Trinidad, California. Relax in our gorgeous custom home set in a beautiful sunny location amid 3 acres of redwoods, seclusion, and privacy. Soak in the hot tub while enjoying views of towering redwood trees, star gazing, or just soaking up the sun. We are located just a mile from the wonderful town of Trinidad with its amazing beaches, pier, and historic charm, and within a half hour drive of Redwood National Park. We custom built our stunning home to bring in the surrounding beauty, redwood trees, and sunlight, with walls of windows to bring the outside in. Our modern home is truly a place where you can relax in complete comfort with an amazing kitchen with an 8 burner commercial style range and all the comforts you may be used to at home, while being in one of the most beautiful places on earth for your stay.

Our home, with its gorgeous master suite, is as perfect for a couple as it is for a family. This secluded coastal retreat, set amongst the redwoods, has plenty of room to invite the grandparents or another family to share your redwood adventure. We are set on 3 private acres at the end of a private paved lane, so you will never see anyone but the visiting deer, rabbits, and even an occasional bear or fox. But you will still be just minutes from the local market and town to get that extra egg you need for a recipe, or go for a quick hike on the beach or Trinidad Head.

We provide a kayak and paddle boards. We highly recommend you explore Big Lagoon and Stone Lagoon, which are a short 15 minute drive away. Where you will find more secluded beaches, sea otters, incredible bird watching, and even an elk herd. (Stone Lagoon). We also have 4 bikes and a ping pong table for our guests to enjoy. As well as 2 soft top surfboards. (Moonstone Beach) There is lots to do! Or just relax on the wrap around deck, take a nap in the hammock, or roast smores by the campfire.

This house is lovely! Spacious and filled with natural light, we enjoyed an early Thanksgiving celebration with our son's family and the kitchen was perfect for cooking the feast. The huge lawn was great for tossing the baseball around and my husband made great use of the hot tub. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Peace and quiet on the coast

This home is perfect for those travelling to Humboldt County who wish to experience the serenity of the Redwoods in a remote setting while still easily close to the towns and parks in the area. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

A beautiful house in a large quiet location!

This well designed house exceeded our expectations. Perfect amount of bedrooms for our group of 7, with grandchildren loved the “largest room in the house”! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, and serving dishes. The yard was large and quiet. Location was convenient. We definitely plan to stay there again! Beautiful, clean property

We arrived at this beautiful house and there were deer munching on some plants in the yard. It was the perfect welcome to a wonderful stay. The house is gorgeous - secluded and surrounded by nature. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our few days exploring the redwoods. The 7 of us (parents, grandparents, and three grandkids) had plenty of space to relax and play board games after our days hiking in the forest.

Beautiful house in an amazing location!

The best Vrbo we have ever stayed at - the location was perfect for visiting the Redwoods and the beaches. We went running on the Hammond trail every day. The house itself is huge and gorgeous. We were visiting as a three generation family, and there was more than enough room for my in-laws to have their own space, and the kids to each have their own space. The ping pong table in the garage, the hot tub, and the huge yard were hits with the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. We loved not having any neighbors - it felt like we had our own little oasis in the forest. We loved this house and absolutely would stay in it again if we are in the area!

We had a wonderful time at this stunning house. It was us, our two kids (11 and 8) and the grand parents. There was ample room for everyone. The living room was spacious and light and we enjoyed sitting there in the early morning light. The deck was fantastic. Spending time in the outdoor area was definitely our favorite. We saw lots of birds and even a fox! The location is quiet but super close to everything you could need. The kitchen is well stocked. We also appreciated and used the badminton set and the ping pong table. This was a fantastic house and we hope to come back again very, very soon.

Beautiful home. The most excellent hostess who was so helpful and had the BEST communication skills. One concern we felt is that we arrived at night. It was very uncomfortable that the home had no blinds or curtains on any windows especially in bathroom or bedroom. The host assured me that it was safe but it felt very uncomfortable sleeping and moving throughout the bedroom and bathroom without privacy.Also the master bath is very dated and faucet hardware and shower need updated. Thanks for a short but nice stay.

Paradise in the Redwoods!!!!

We loved staying at Heather and Eric’s beautiful home! Heather and Eric were accommodating with all my questions and offered great suggestions and tips. The house is gorgeous, spacious, clean, comfortable, and large enough for our big family. We liked that it was close to the beaches & town. We absolutely loved our stay. The house had all the amenities we could have asked for. Fully stocked with kayaks, bikes, everything you could need in the kitchen, and more. Very clean property. Excellent location in Trinidad.

Lovely home

This was our second time staying here. We love the size, location and the home. We do feel the house needs some detailing. Furniture needs cleaning walls need to be touched up and I talked to them about the tile in the bathroom. Nothing too bad but it was noticeable this time. We will come back again.

Vacation in the Redwoods

We enjoyed our stay, especially all the "toys". All were used. Everything was quite clean, however the toilets were stained, especially the upstairs toilet. I tried to clean them when I arrived, however it did no good. I think they're permanently stained. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

Wonderful vacation home!!

We are a three generation family who wanted a quiet getaway for a few days. This home met our needs and exceeded our expectations for the 6 days we were there. The home is so well equipped with nice furniture, luxurious sheets and towels, all the kitchen items you need to cook and serve food and a very well stocked pantry. During the day we explored the beaches, Trinidad, Arcata, Eureka and so much of the Redwood Forest. In the evening we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed just being a family in the comfortable home. I highly recommend this lovely home for a great vacation. Thank you Eric and Heather.

We have had many VRBO experiences, and this was the best by far! I do not have enough positive adjectives to describe our experience with this property! The house was beautiful, quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. The property managers were quick to respond to every message and were extremely helpful. If you are looking for a comfortable, restful property that is close to places like Redwood National and State Parks and the ocean, but feels like it is alone in the woods, then this is the place for you! I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Perfect get-away for our family

Just like the photos! Spotless, well-stocked, roomy, and quiet. Our family wanted to experience the Redwood trees and the northern California environment, and this house fit the bill. Our family group consisted of 5 adults, and our two grandsons ages 10 and 13. The boys really loved their large room...tickled with their bunk beds. They were delighted to have their own TV to hook their video game into and play without disturbing the rest of the house. Of course, that is not the reason we traveled from Nebraska to California...we wanted to explore and experience the Redwoods and the ocean beaches. Our host gave us an itemized list of coastal areas to explore. We were only 10-15 minutes away from many of these sites...and close to many of the other parks found along Highway 101. We really ran out of time to explore the many sites in Humbolt county. Trinidad and grocery shopping were very convenient...nice to be able to run into town for groceries...and of course the ice cream. One grandson heard about the Mashed Potatoe Cone at the Lighthouse before we came...and after consuming this delight, gave it a 5-star rating. The rest of the crew loved the ice cream. The kitchen was perfect for our family...we have lots of cooks, so it was great having plenty of room to work. We had sharp knives and even a sharpener...important to a cook. The comfortable eating area also worked great for game playing. Every morning, we started the day in the living room, drinking our coffee, while the gas fireplace took the chill off and we viewed the trees through the wall of windows. A perfect way to start the day. One of our highlights was the hot tub. The stars shone brightly as we soaked right before bed. A campfire was prepared for us, and we savored our smores. ...our week went too fast to do it more than once. We all agreed the house was a perfect fit for our family. We loved being surrounded by redwoods, stars, and solitude on our vacation. Thanks so much for creating an ideal vacation spot.

We are a family of 4 and love living in Arcata, our beautiful historic town, home of Cal Poly Humboldt, with a redwood forest on one side, a breathtaking bay on the other, and countless beaches and the ocean just 10 minutes away. We have been hosting our home in Trinidad and Apts in Arcata for the past 4 years and love helping our guests get the most from their visits to our wonderful area.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location because it offered a very rare combination of excellent sun, total privacy, and abundant redwoods. We wanted to be in the redwoods but also have lots of sun, and be very close to Trinidad and the ocean, but not right in town. Our property is gorgeous and peaceful, but if we need an egg we can go to the grocery store in 2 minutes.

Our property is both private and sunny and has tons of redwoods, but is very accessible, close to Trinidad, beaches, and 10 minutes from the airport.
