Cottage #1, West Bay House, Lake Baptiste

Small and somewhat pricey, however, really enjoyed the location on the lake, with private little dock and unlimited access to various watercraft. Cottage was very well equipped and was easy to settle right in for our week-long stay. The loons were great! Would definately stay again should occasio arise.

Just what the doctor ordered

I was looking for a relaxing, last-minute getaway with my 2 kids, ages 4 and 8. From the onset, Richard was very responsive. The cottage wasn't ready yet but he got it cleaned for me and everything was ready for my arrival THE NEXT DAY! Richard's brother met us and showed us to our cottage. He even had the time to get the pedal boats ready for us. The cottage was the perfect size! In fact, it's a 2 bedroom but me and the kids had fun sleeping in the bunk beds (single over double). We didn't even need the other bedroom. There were heaters available for the chilly evenings and cieling fans when the sun poured into the cottage. Everything in the kitchen worked great and it had every utensil we could ever need. The only unfortunate thing was that there were a lot of mosquitos at this time of year so we didn't get a chance to take advantage of the firepit. At any rate. We brought a lot of board games and movies to watch and had a great time with no distractions!!! Just what we wanted...quality time. Richard followed up with us after our stay. A great host from beginning to end! We are looking forward to going back in the fall!

Excellent Getaway

We were able to get the 3 bedroom cabin. This cabin has a semi covered deck over looking the personal beach, fire pit and the lake. We had access to SUP, paddleboat, canoes and kayaks. The beach are is well maintained and has volleyball net and equipment readily available. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. This vacation was a great experience for us. We would love to return yearly.

Great location, decent cottage

We enjoyed a week at this place. It is small (bedrooms especially) but adequate. Richard was on site and checked with us regularly - needed new chairs in kitchen (delivered within the hour!) - and a barbecue starter (delivered instantly). Loved canoeing. Be careful of the parking area, however. Easy to damage tires on rocks and to bump into a tree and do serious damage to your car. I speak from experience. All in all, a happy week.

Great Getaway

We loved the cottage! It wasn't very large but it was a perfect size for 2 people or 2 couples plus we have a very large dog and we were all comfortable. The cottage has all amenities we needed including everything we needed in the kitchen. Bedrooms were a good size and they each had a heater which came in handy as it got chilly at night. It was very private, had out own dock and firepit. Very peaceful. The beach was also very nice although it was too cold to go in, the dog enjoyed it :) There was a nice hiking trail we went on which was perfect and fairly easy. Richard was very nice and helpful, responded quickly when we needed him. I would definitely come and stay here again.

4/10 Poor

Not what I expected

First time here. Booked 7 days and left after 2 nights. We had 2 little heaters that would of been great as 3 degrees at night but none of the plugs worked in bedrooms so couldn't even use them. We brought tons of food to BBQ but our BBQ didn't work so went out to eat and threw everything I brought out. We wanted to go somewhere to relax and get away for a week but first night our neighbours that were 20 feet from one side of us decided to do fireworks so that wasn't going to be very relaxing. I think the most disappointing thing was having a tv but it didn't work either. Definitely didn't go up there to watch TV but it would've been nice to have a TV with a teenager just for an hour or two in the evenings to relax . Bed sheets were definitely clean but all 3 had stains on them. I would always use my own regardless but didn't look very good. Soo disappointed as I spent a lot of money and booked time off work and we left place empty for 4 days to come home!

We just came back from our vacation here and it was amazing. It was nice and private and Richard was very accommodating. The view from the cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. Thanks for this amazing stay!
