Enjoy the elegance of our traditional Pueblo style adobe home nestled in the trees with stunning mountain views. Bask in this hidden private sanctuary, just a stone's throw from Taos, skiing and the unique village of Arroyo Seco. Artistically decorated and featuring high beamed latilla ceilings, heated saltillo tile floors and a kiva fireplace. As a family of singer songwriters, international cooks and lovers of the outdoors, we hope you enjoy our piano, fully-equipped kitchen and nearby trails.

The Space
The large open living room, dining room, kitchen area has high ceilings and a long wall of tall windows offering abundant sunlight. The hallway connects to a bathroom with new washer-dryer and two bedrooms, one with a walk-in closet and private bathroom. Starlink satellite wifi makes working remotely easy. We are proud to offer the comfort of high-quality mattresses, soft organic bamboo sheets, and a cozy living room together with environmentally friendly radiant floor heating, Taos solar power by day and crisp clean mountain well water. A Tesla car charger is available onsite (and electric cars get front row parking/charging by the ski village!)

Couch and bedroll available for up to 2 additional guests.

The entire home and property is yours, and includes a number of acres and is fully fenced in with no neighbors visible. A unique code will be provided prior to arrival.

Our home is perfectly situated just up on the Valdez foothills, 15-20 minutes from Taos Ski Valley, 20 minutes to the Taos Plaza and 8 minutes to the hidden eclectic town of Arroyo Seco with a great coffee shop, natural grocery store, restaurants and artisan boutiques. Fun day trips include Ojo Caliente Spa and natural hot springs (1 hour 15 minutes), Big Arsenic Trail down a winding canyon (1 hour drive), and the stunning state capital of Santa Fe (1 hour 45 minutes).

About the host

Host profile image
We're a family from Boulder, CO, and Austin, TX, of singer-songwriters, international cooks and lovers of the outdoors. Our home in Taos with our amazing little community is one of our favorite places in the world. Together with our kids, we love exploring, skiing and mountain biking, writing music and singing, cooking and just relaxing to the sound of birds on the patio. We love having the chance to share our home and this experience with you!

Why they chose this property

Our house couldn't be in a more special place, nestled just up on the side of the mountain on a quiet, private road, and only 15-20 minutes from both Taos downtown and the Ski Valley.

What makes this property unique

When you open the big wooden gates to our property, you will instantly see why our place is so special. The traditional adobe house is lined with huge floor to ceiling windows, letting the desert sun pour into the entire house. Our apple trees, running fountain and large property of trees and bushes gives our place a very unique feel.
