About this property

Modern Forest Escape with Private Meadow • 1 hr Yosemite • Home Away From Home

Find your stillness at modern Penelope Pines - home away from home tucked into the quiet hills of Mariposa. Just 50 minutes to Yosemite’s Arch Rock entrance, this modern cabin is the perfect base for day hikes, stargazing and stillness with a view. No kids, no crowds - just pines, meadows, and peaceful simplicity.

Whether you're planning a romantic escape, a recharge-from-work weekend, or a nature-filled digital detox, Penelope Pines offers a curated setting for slow mornings and star-filled nights.

This is not a family cabin or a party spot - it’s for those who crave intentional space and simple comforts.

OUR GUESTS
This space is best suited for:
• Couples seeking a quiet escape
• Small friend groups looking for a base to explore Yosemite
• Writers, artists, or remote workers needing inspiration
• Nature lovers who prefer peaceful forest mornings over busy hotel lobbies

WHAT YOU WILL LOVE
• Private wooded setting with a meadow view
Rocking chairs on the back offer the perfect perch to watch turkeys, deer, or the occasional coyote wander by as the sun sets.

• King, Queen, and Twin beds
Outfitted with organic linens and blackout shades for restful forest sleep.

• High-speed internet (if you have to stay connected)
Great for remote work or guilt-free streaming in nature.

• Fully equipped kitchen
Perfect for real meals - though we won’t judge if your idea of “cooking” is wine and a charcuterie board.
Coffee lovers: Drip coffee or French press, and a grinder await. If single-origin beans aren’t your thing, we won’t hold it against you (please bring your own, no Keurigs).

• Streaming-ready Smart TV
Log in with ease - and yes, it logs you out automatically at checkout. One less thing to remember.

• Washer and dryer in unit
Starter supplies included. Use it, ignore it - your call. You're on vacation.

• Dog-friendly
We don’t discriminate by breed - only by behavior. You’re responsible for your pup’s actions, but we love well-mannered dogs.

• Nearby trails and a local pond
Lace up your boots or bring a fishing pole. Plenty to explore, right out your front door.

Amazing hosts for a new property that is truly a gem

This property is a keeper in all books. I love the fact that I found a rental place that allows furry family members who always travel with me and my husband. Since Yosemite National Park do not allow pets in most areas in the valley, I was very elated that Abe and Yaska rented their beautiful property to us. My husband camped for 7 days in Camp 4 while I enjoyed the peace and quiet with two of our friends who joined me and two pups in the Mariposa Pines. I didn't mind the 1.5 hours drive each way to visit and hang out with my husband and our other camping friends. I highly recommend the Penelope Pines property 110%. We will definitely stay at their property every time me and my pups travel to Yosemite. Their place is super nice, clean and very organized across the board. The high ceilings and big windows complimented the well-lit kitchen and living room. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are nicely designed. I also loved walking with my pups around the quiet neighborhood. It's a nice hike in three different directions, especially if you enjoy the outdoors and beautiful sceneries.
