Absolutely magical stay. The beds were so comfortable, the setting was beautiful, and there was plenty of space for our family. The water was very metallic smelling/tasting so maybe make sure to bring bottled if that bothers you. The hosts were great with check in and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at the River House. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen is a step back in time but very well equipped. The outdoor space is incredible. Lots of places to relax. We enjoyed having an outdoor fire and star gazing. We would definitely return.
Enjoyed our stay at River House. We appreciated that the kitchen and bathroom were stocked with basic essentials. The beds were so comfy and cozy although a little high off the floor for someone as short as me. Acreage was well maintained by mowing and trimming. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone traveling to or through the area.
The property is beautiful with lush lawn leading up to a shallow winding river. Our young boys loved running around the property and we had fun playing horse shoes. The cabin was cozy and well stocked. I especially loved the morning light in the dining room with views of nature surrounding us. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again if in the area.
This was a great place to hang out for our little family get together weekend. The views around the property are great. We saw lots of wildlife. It is also very close to the park entrance.
This is a 75-year-old home with all of the character one would expect. Large, gorgeous deck and located right on a beautiful river. Away from town and on the road to Crater Lake.
Beautiful, lots of waterfront, spacious yard. All the things you need to make a fire in the fire pit, including tools to roast the marshmallows with! Lots of games, well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, ample natural light. And, easy drive to Crater Lake. Jo’s Motel, 2 minute drive, has an impressive selection of organic produce and groceries!
The hosts were on top of every issue we had. The power was out before we arrived and they let us know ahead of time. They helped us find everything we needed to get through the outage and gave us updates. Communication was great. It rained so we weren't able to enjoy the property fully but it was beautiful. Beds and blankets were so comfortable.

Great little place to stay right next to the South entrance of Crater Lake. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the River House. The home was very welcoming. We loved walking by the river and listening to the gentle trickle. This place just Zen.
We were three older adults traveling to visit Crater Lake and hike. The location is perfect and the property on the Wood River is exceptional. The house itself is older as to be expected in the small hamlet of Ft. Klamath. It was easy to access and plenty roomy for the three of us. The appliances worked: stove, microwave, oven, etc. The kitchen was well stocked and even had plenty of spices and cooking accouterments. Nice sized kitchen, comfortable beds, and roomy bedrooms. Be aware that there is one bathroom with a flush toilet and shower. The other facility is an outside porta-potty. The kitchen doesn’t have a dishwasher or garbage disposal. There’s no central air or heat but the window AC units worked fine. We didn’t use the heat. We grew up without these conveniences so no big deal but younger travelers might take these things for granted. Really didn’t slow us down in the kitchen. Ft. Klamath is very convenient but small. There’s no gas station but a great little organic food store. Gas can be had at Crater Lake and down the road at Crater Lake Junction. Just don’t show up on an empty tank. Would easily stay here again. Great visit and trip.
What a great place and is better than advertised! The huge yard with a river running through it; you can float 3 hours from the top and exit right at the place! The stars are amazing and Crater Lake is just up the way. Hosts are awesome and check-in/out was clear and easy. Will be staying again for sure!
Lovely home with a ton of outdoor space for the kids to play. Loved the river running through the property, even if no fish were cooperating during our visit. This place is perfectly outfitted to be home base for your visit to an amazing National Park!
Highly recommend this spot for a visit to southern Oregon. 2 hours to summer lake refuge and super convenient to Crater lake and the Klamath Lakes. It lies on wood creek which I would love to go back and kayak and paddle board on. We saw some folks fishing from a boat, looks like prime trout habitat. The place is charming, great stove for cooking and nicely stocked spices and condiments for your convenience, which most places don't offer and that's helpful in a small town. Beds are comfortable. The deck is so great for watching the sun go down. We also played cornhole which was in the storage room, yay. Also, has a great fire pit. We hope we are lucky enough to return. Tip: fill your gas tank in a nearby city before you arrive. Chiloquin only has a cardlock station, so we ended up driving to Sand Creek. (20 miles away).
Great place to stay. Almost didn't need to leave to enjoy nature. Crater Lake Park is close by and can't be missed, but the property itself has access to the nice creek with fishing the stars at night were awesome. Had everything we needed. Host was great communicator as well. Internet winked out but host was extremely responsive and had it up and running in no time. Great stay
