Central Sarasota Mid-Century Bungalow near Legacy Trail
Renovated 1962 bungalow-style home with two bedrooms/one bath centrally located and close to charming Amish Pinecraft, downtown, Lido and Siesta beaches and newly completed Legacy Trail. Kitchen has been remodeled with white quartz countertops, cinnamon shaker cabinets and stainless steel appliances while the retro pink bathroom has been given a makeover to keep with the mid-century modern vibe of the house.
The space:
Rhodes Bungalow has been decorated with all new furniture, beds and bedding for you to relax in mid-century charm while you vacation in beautiful Sarasota. Well-stocked kitchen is supplied with large single sink, toaster, blender, Keurig coffee machine with regular and decaf K-cups. Enjoy your meals indoors or on the shaded screened-in covered side lanai. Both areas have dining tables. The bungalow has a washer/dryer with a starter supply of laundry detergent, Amazon Alexa and Internet TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and CBS All Access. Located less than a mile to delicious eating at the Amish restaurants Yoder's (Man vs. Food from Food Network) and Der Dutchman. Yoder’s also has a fresh produce store where you will find local produce. We will have a complete list of several recommended restaurants, shopping and places to visit while here.
For your convenience, we provide a complimentary starter kit of essentials, including laundry pods, dishwasher pods, paper towels, toilet paper, and bathroom toiletries. This is designed to make your arrival and first few days more comfortable as you settle into your vacation. If additional supplies are needed beyond the initial provisions, guests are responsible for replenishing them as needed.
Guest access:
The entire bungalow is yours to enjoy. You will have a covered carport area. There are two front accesses (we are the "little gray bungalow with the double pink doors") and you will never get wet if you get caught in our oft afternoon downpours. You will be given a code to the smartlock which will be your private code for your stay. For your safety and the safety of others, there is a surveillance camera in this carport area and facing the lanai entry door.
Other things to note:
Crib, highchair, box fan, beach toys, beach chairs and cooler are available for your use upon request. Please let us know if we can provide anything else as we probably have it on hand or nearby for you.

About the host
Hosted by Kayla Anderson

Hi! I am Kimberly. I am a wife, mom, Nanee to 11 and recently retired from 25 years of teaching to upstate South Carolina. I plan to soon start teaching some classes for a homeschool co-op our daughter is helping to begin where I will be teaching my own grandchildren! My husband and I love to travel to visit family & friends, ski, and of course take in the local food wherever we go. We use short term rentals when we travel and love to meet our hosts if possible. We also love to meet our guests at our short term rental in Sarasota, Florida where we still own an auto repair business.
Why they chose this property
We love the quaint neighborhood our bungalow is in since it is close to the charming Amish/Mennonite community of Pinecraft. My husband grew up Mennonite and we have many ties to the community there. We also love its central location and being able to walk to local eateries and coffee shops!
What makes this property unique
We have a mid-century modern motif and love the coziness of the bungalow. Guests agree that the bungalow is a special place. We are also very centrally located in booming Sarasota.
