About this property

Gallery Guest House

On The Bank Of The Yellowstone River With Amazing Views Directly Into The Mountains Of Yellowstone Park

Located overlooking the Yellowstone River with views of the mountains and wildlife of Yellowstone National Park this home is in an ideal location. You can watch out the huge windows to see amazing beauty or walk into the quaint town of Gardiner for all it has to offer.

The house was designed and built by artists with a rustic flare and eye for details. Huge windows looking directly out on the river and Yellowstone Park so you can enjoy the many moods of the sunrise and sunset while you share your family meals. Something is always going on - eagles and osprey fishing for trout, deer, elk, pronghorn or bison grazing the meadows, and even the occasional coyote, wolf, bear or bobcat can be seen directly from the house. There are many built-in antiques in the home and the owners artwork (paintings, sculpture, woodwork, and custom hand made chandeliers) give you the opportunity to live with the art. You can hear the river roll by on quiet summer nights or watch the stars over the mountains from the deck or yard. Enjoy the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit with a drink and snacks while planning the next days adventures in Montana and Wyoming.

All of the homes furnishings are “high end”…tiled showers, five burner french stove with grille, sub-zero refrigerator, soapstone countertops, new mattresses, leather furniture, built in European antiques, custom hand made light fixtures, and the large dining table is an old restored wagon that can seat a crowd under the hand made chandelier.

It’s a short walk into town to pick up groceries, enjoy a meal, go whitewater rafting, see some live music, or check out the little local bookstore. There are endless outdoor activities all around. Yellowstone National Parks north entrance is less than a mile away and Gardiner is surrounded by spectacular public land. Hike, raft, kayak, ski, fish, bike, photograph the birds and wildlife, take a yoga class, horseback riding, soak in the hot springs, go dancing with the locals, have a great meal, staying at the Gallery Lodge will create memories of a lifetime. If you need any help planning local activities or where to go for a hike please ask-we know our way around. We can also recommend guides for wildlife viewing, fishing, horseback riding, photography help,

We look forward to seeing you soon.

This art gallery house was amazing! Our family of six were very comfortable. The decor and view were top notch. We enjoyed every inch of it, and the location was perfect. Looking at the uninterrupted views of Yellowstone National Park through the giant picture windows and hearing the Yellowstone River rush by below was a vacation in itself. We spied antelope and elk as soon as we arrived. Highly recommend.

Great Location

This property was very nice and clean, and located just outside Yellowstone with great views of the river. The location made it easy to enjoy not only Yellowstone, but the surrounding area as well. Dorothy was so responsive and easy to work with. We had a wonderful visit!

An absolutely lovely property in a great location. The property manager, Dorothy, was outstanding in her communication and attentiveness. We had a small glitch with WiFi, and Dorothy promptly came over and rebooted the router. We ran out of propane for the BBQ grill and Dorothy had a new cylinder to us, again, promptly. A lovely stay enjoyed by all 5 of us.

Brought the extended family up to Gallery Guest House in Gardiner for a week of excitement at Yellowstone and relaxation at the house. Dorothy, the property manager, is a gem to work with. We had tasty muffins waiting for us at check-in. A few days later she brought a bottle of bubbles over for my almost 2 year old granddaughter to play with, She was also responsive to all of my inquiries. The house is on the Yellowstone River with views of the park from large windows. The decorations include artistic sculpting and paintings of high quality. Bedrooms and living spaces were very comfortable for our group of 7 adults and 1 toddler. Bear spray and binoculars were provided for park excursions. One afternoon we came back to the house to find a huge female elk nibbling the grass in the front near the door. We carefully made our introductions as we took a long circular route to the door to avoid startling her. We also saw an osprey nest on an electrical pole across the river. We watched it daily with my spotting scope and camera. The highlight came when the osprey caught a fish from the river and a bald eagle decided to challenge him for it. The aerial combat was breathtaking and we were happy the osprey was able to keep the fish and feed it to its chick in the nest.Fantastic house; fantastic vacation. A all the way!
