This thoughtfully renovated 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home features a fully stocked kitchen, breezy front and back porches, and a relaxed, coastal vibe just minutes from beaches, dining, and island charm. With room to sleep up to 7 guests comfortably, it’s the perfect spot to relax, explore, and make lasting memories.

Our gas-powered 6-seater golf cart is available as an optional add-on for just $150 flat for your entire stay (for stays under 5 nights). If you’re staying 5 nights or more, it’s included complimentary!

The Flying Turtle was perfect for our family! Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and we loved all the little extras. Can really tell the owner/ property manager cares and did a great job making our stay enjoyable!

Perfect Get-Away

The house was just like home away from home. The golf cart was perfect for the six of us to travel together to the beach and the village with designated parking for golf carts. The house was in a perfect location and was very clean. You could literally just show up, the house has everything you need for a beach get away. Will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at the Flying Turtle in St Simons Island! The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed. We’re Stephanie and Kenny – brother and sister who grew up visiting St. Simons Island with our Nana, and now co-hosts of The Flying Turtle, a home that holds generations of memories. Our Nana lived on the island and poured so much love into this house and community, and it’s an honor to carry that forward.

We both live in Georgia and stay busy with work, family, and everyday life – but this little slice of coastal calm is where we come to reconnect and recharge. We’ve worked hard to renovate the home while keeping its heart intact, and we truly love sharing it with others.

Whether you're here to unwind, explore, or just feel a little more grounded, we hope you feel the same warmth and welcome our family has always found here.

We chose this neighborhood because it feels like the heart of St. Simons – peaceful, welcoming, and just the right mix of local life and vacation vibes. Our Nana owned this home as a vacation rental too, and we’ve always loved how it’s tucked away in a quiet residential area while still being just minutes from the beach, the pier village, and some of the island’s best spots to eat, shop, and explore.

It’s the kind of neighborhood where you’ll see neighbors walking their dogs, kids riding bikes, and the occasional golf cart zipping by on the way to catch the sunset. It’s safe, relaxed, and full of charm – and we think it’s one of the best ways to experience St. Simons like a local.
