The view of the mountain is everything here. The sweet old house is cozy and creaky. Great for a few days. The bedroom and bathroom doors and door handles weren’t as functional as I would have liked. Otherwise a great spot!

First the property didn’t have proper instructions for opening the house. The house was unlocked. Dog or cat hair everywhere would even get on my clothes. The whole house was dirty and had a bad smell. When showering in order to have hot water you needed to turn on the water faucet in the kitchen. They failed to disclose that they are renting the shed in the back. The doors wouldn’t close and had no privacy. The AC would be turned off by the host the minute we walked out. One night we had a gathering and was gone all day and the minute we got home at night the house was sooo HOTTTT!!! Very bad experience and if I could ask for money back I would.

Huge safety concern as the doorknob in the primary bedroom from the inside turns and continues to spin without opening. Had to call our adult daughter to open the door from the hallway. The doorknob appears to be from the 40's. If there were a fire, this would be a major problem as the windows have steel bars preventing you from escaping. Another huge issue is that you have a gas cooktop and a gas tankless hot water heater in the kitchen and not one Carbon Monoxide detector. There are 3 smoke detectors, but no carbon monoxide detectors. In the kitchen is a full-size washing machine that prevents the back door from fully opening possibly keeping you from getting out. This home could be very charming, but it looks as if there were short cuts or a lack of knowledge by the owner, who as I understand it has 20 more properties with her sister that they rent through VRBO. As for comfort, I could not open the screen door, but by sticking your fingers through a small portion of the screen that has been ripped open in order to activate the lever to get the latch to open. Inside the home were a number of flies. The mattress in the primary bedroom sunk in the middle causing you and your partner to slide down and was impossible to get any sleep. The bathroom door did not close, lacking privacy. The sofa was hard and lumpy, not comfortable at all. The water lines are reversed and you had to turn the kitchen sink on to get hot water in the shower. Do not recommend until changed.

The house was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable! The house is older so it has original hardwood floors so a little squeaky but the house itself is very comfortable and homey. The internet worked well it was nice to have tvs in each room! The neighborhood has older people around, and overall it was a pleasant stay The host was very responsive! Cute little gem in central El Paso!
