Sharing honest feedback about our recent stay. We’ve been coming to Anna Maria for five years now and this was unfortunately the most disappointing experience we’ve ever had.From the start, there were issues. There was no hot water, and on the first morning when I went to make coffee, I found an American cockroach in the coffee pot. That was unsettling enough, but on our last day. While we were out during the storm, the roof began leaking badly.When we returned, the bed was completely soaked and uninhabitable. We had belongings on the bed as we were packing, and those were also wet.We did notice a rust-colored crack in the ceiling when we arrived but assumed it was leftover from a previous storm. Clearly, this was an unresolved problem. What made the situation even more frustrating was the response. At first, we were told someone would bring fresh linens, but that didn’t address the underlying issue. Eventually, someone came to look and then we were relocated, which was a stressful scramble given our golf cart rental, our early morning flight, and the fact that the new accommodations were not in the same area.While we managed to make it work, it was far from the relaxing family trip we’ve come to expect. Between the lack of hot water, pests, the roof leak, and the last-minute relocation, this stay fell well below what we’ve experienced in the past—both in Anna Maria and with other rentals. Honestly, I would never want another family to have to go through what we did.
