With 2 bathrooms equipped with showers and hair dryers, guests can freshen up after a day of exploring. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything Sunset and our farmhouse has to offer. You can sit out on the back deck and forget the world's turning!! If you're a history buff, this area is loaded. Cherokee history is abundant. The very name Eastatoee is Cherokee for "Place of a Green Bird". Just for kicks and giggles, the two lakes Keowee and Jocassee are Cherokee as well. Keowee means "Place of a Mulberry Bush" and Jocassee means "Place of the Lost One" and was named after the Indian Maiden, Jocassee of whom is said to have paddled out into the river and drowned herself because she was not allowed to marry the man of her dreams. Hagood Mill, which is a 200 year old corn mill is twenty minutes away. If you like hiking, then you've arrived. The "Bill Morgan Road" is 1/2 mile away and it's foot traffic only for miles. The beautiful Twin Falls is a five minute drive and then a ten minute walk and from there, you can hike the Reedy Cove river for about four miles. Table Rock State Park is fifteen minutes away and if you like a challenge you can hike to the top. For the golfers, we have that too. The Rock Golf Course is a 10 minute drive. Sassafras Mountain: elevation 3,553’. It’s the highest point in the state of South Carolina and a spot to keep in mind as you’re planning summer adventures! The peak straddles not only the line between North and South Carolina but the Eastern Continental Divide; from its summit, four states are visible on a clear day. Still, this scenic viewpoint is one of the most easily accessed “highest points” in the US, perfect for a family day trip from the Cabin. If you're more reserved and would like to walk down to the "big creek" and fish and maybe take the kids, it's just 100 yrds down the ridge. For the Lake lovers, Lake Keowee is fifteen minutes away and Lake Jocassee is 30 minutes away. Jumpin' Off Rock is a forty minute drive (it's not that far just a slow drive) and it gives a spectacular view of Lake Jocassee. One of the most beautiful views on the planet is watching the sun set over Carolina Ridge and Lake Jocassee. And for all the Clemson Tiger fans, you can be at the football stadium in 40 minutes.

The cabin has been remodeled beautifully without losing any of the charm. Excellent accommodations. Kitchen well outfitted too. Love the electric fireplaceCan’t go wrong staying at this cabin!
Very nice, newly renovated cabin in a beautiful, remote location. There is a waterfall a 5 minute drive away. The beds were very comfortable and clean. It gives a rustic yet modern feel. We stayed for a concert in Clemson and it was nice to be away from the city life. Owners were very kind and allowed us to check in early! Huge bonus. Overall great stay
Perfect location between Table Rock and Lake Jocassee! This is a farmhouse that has been in the same family for a long time. We enjoyed the views, comfy beds and peace. The 3 rocking chairs on the front porch were our favorite place for morning coffee. Clean, cozy and inviting. Joe was great communicating and answering all of our pre-trip questions. We took day trips to Table Rock and Lake Jocassee. Added bonus was the easy, short hike to see twin falls, which is a can't miss easy morning or evening local attraction. Lots of deer, turkey and a black bear sighting. Thank you for our amazing getaway before we head back to school!
Nicely updated but still keeps some of the rustic appeal. Slept four adults and 4 kids very easily. Very quiet location and a lot of grass space to run around in. Would stay here again.
We loved this cozy cabin and the views were beautiful. This area has interesting history and beautiful sights to see. Make sure you visit twin falls just a short drive then short hike away. The host was very responsive and helpful. He told us the history and took us on a scenic tour of the valley and mountains. We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality.
Perfect little quiet getaway, the cabin is updated nicely to provide plenty of comfort but still retains a quaint feeling. The owner was incredibly helpful and we found a small welcome basket waiting for us upon arrival. Beautiful area with lots of waterfalls, lakes, and hiking around.
Beautiful cottage in the woods. Everything has been fully renovated inside. Brand new fridge, microwave, tv.. etc. The A/C works great. Close to lake Jocassee, golf resorts, and a ton of hiking trails.
Very nice property. Great if you are traveling with dogs. Large yard with low traffic. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. If you are bringing a boat, I would recommend taking Roy F Jones rd to Cleo Chapman hwy. There is a hairpin curve on 178 right before the turn to cleo chapman and the road into the valley is very curvy.
Rustic outside, nice updated inside. Plenty of room for my grown children. Lots of outdoor space. Bring your corn hole! We did see a bear in the back, but he didn’t bother us! Waterfalls close by. Short less than 5 minute drive. Owners were quick to respond to questions that we had. Would definitely recommend.
We arrived to the perfect little get away house had 4 rooms with 2 baths just right amount of space. Owners left snacks and even cold drinks in refrigerator. We absolutely loved the cabin and the area great fishing and the waterfall was stunning. My family attended the July 4th even with live music fireworks and vendors in the town over and we as a family were able to go tubing down the river
This beautiful property is named Heritage Ridge because it's a vital part of my heritage. This is the house my mother was born in in 1922. My "Pa and Granny" lived there all my life. I spent countless hours staying with them so this has a ton of sentimental value for me.
