Why Wait Just Book It is a family-operated vacation rental business founded by Haley, Jared, and Zack. Our mission is to provide unforgettable vacation experiences that encourage families to embrace the present, create lasting memories, and enjoy life together.
The name Why Wait Just Book It was inspired by the idea of seizing the moment and traveling now rather than waiting for “someday.” It’s a playful nod to Nike’s iconic “Just Do It” slogan, but with a twist that ties back to our faith. During brainstorming, the question “What Would Jesus Do?” (WWJD) sparked a lightbulb moment, leading us to this meaningful and unique name.
Our journey to starting this business was born out of both challenge and blessing. In 2023, our lives were turned upside down in many ways, which deepened our appreciation for the importance of family, faith, and creating special moments together. Through those experiences, we were inspired to help others do the same by offering welcoming, family-friendly vacation rentals where unforgettable memories can be made.
We feel incredibly blessed to embark on this adventure as a family and are excited to share our homes and our story with you. Why wait? Just book it and start making memories today!

Why they chose this property
The view plus the peaceful tranquility of the Lookout Mountain area.
Welcome to The Crow’s Nest—a tiny home with a big story. The name was born from a blend of passion, sport, and cherished family memories.
For Zack, basketball isn’t just a game—it’s a way of life. As a devoted Duke fan, he was inspired by the unique term used at his beloved university: “the crow’s nest,” a special seating area that elevates the experience of the game. His love for basketball extends into his work too, as he coaches varsity girls basketball and affectionately refers to a key spot in the gym by that very name.
The inspiration didn’t stop there. A treasured photograph of our Mawmaw and Pawpaw captures a moment of warmth and whimsy, with them holding a sign that proudly declared, “one old crow and one cute chick live here.” Though they have since passed on, their spirit, humor, and love continue to fill our hearts and remind us of the importance of home.
By blending these two worlds—the spirited energy of the game and the enduring legacy of family—the name The Crow’s Nest became a perfect symbol for our tiny home. It’s a place where memories soar, passion is celebrated, and every corner tells a story.
