We had a wonderful stay here! Check in was very clearly laid out and communication with the host was easy and very responsive. She always responded within minutes and was able to help with any questions I had. The studio apartment was quiet and comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a long day traveling around Chicago. The location was great for us since we had a car to drive around. But there was no guaranteed parking. However, lots of street parking in the neighborhood across N Milwaukee Ave, so we never had an issue! I would definitely recommend this place!
Bathroom wasn’t as clean as it should be for guests. This is a 2nd floor unit, with an extremely steep staircase, which makes getting luggage up difficult.

The huge street lights outside the window made it difficult to sleep at night, and the missing slats in the blinds did not help. I'd recommend getting some curtains at least. The ear plugs were a nice touch, because it was extremely loud at night due to street noise and the clanging pipes. I wanted to use the oven, but there was no pilot light. Also, the front door to the street seemed to be open quite often due to other residents so that did not make me feel the most safe. Also, if you are planning to have a maintenance worker in, that should be done before the guest arrives or after they depart. The idea of letting a stranger into the flat with me while I was staying alone was not very appealing and felt unsafe.

Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay did not meet expectations.
Regarding the street lights and the blinds, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We understand how important a comfortable sleeping environment is and are currently reviewing improvements to the window coverings to help reduce outside light.
We’re also sorry that the street noise and building pipes affected your rest. As the building is located in a lively area, some city noise can occasionally be heard, but we try to help by providing earplugs for guests’ comfort.
Regarding the oven, thank you for flagging this — the issue has since been checked and addressed. Concerning the building’s front entrance, it is a shared entry that is used by all residents, but we understand your concern and have shared the feedback with building management.
Lastly, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the maintenance visit. In most cases, we aim to schedule any work before a guest arrives or after departure whenever possible. If urgent maintenance is required during a stay, we always try to communicate clearly and coordinate timing to minimize disruption. We appreciate you raising this so we can continue improving our process.
Thank you again for your feedback, as it helps us improve the experience for future guests.
