The Space:

Our fully furnished 1-bedroom apartment is on the 3rd floor (stairs only, no elevator). It has a comfortable living area with a sofa and TV, a kitchen with appliances and basic cooking essentials, and a bedroom with a king-size bed. The bathroom is clean and functional.



Guest Access:

You'll have the apartment to yourselves. Feel at home!



The Neighborhood:

Our place is surrounded by some of the neighborhood’s most popular attractions. Just minutes away is Southport Avenue, filled with boutique shops, cozy coffee spots, and a variety of restaurants offering everything from casual bites to fine dining. Nearby, you can enjoy the peaceful green spaces of Southport Park or take a short walk to the bustling Wrigleyville area, home to the famous Wrigley Field and its lively atmosphere. This location truly captures the vibrant, welcoming spirit of Lakeview.



Getting Around:

The Paulina and Southport CTA Red Line stations are just few minutes away from the apartment, providing quick and easy access to downtown Chicago and surrounding neighborhoods. Multiple bus routes also serve the area, making travel within Lakeview and beyond convenient and efficient.

The host was 100% available and attentive. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and larger than expected. It is a 3rd floor walk up so maybe one large heavy bag wasn’t the best plan but that was a minor inconvenience. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is close to the train tracks but you can barely hear the trains. Parking wasn’t too bad if you don’t mind circling a bit. I would absolutely stay here again.

Concerns about security of the door; neighbors below were threatening and banging on ceiling due to excessively creaking floors with no rugs and their having sex during morning hours; shower tub did not drain so standing in two inches of water—all caused us to leave after one night and seek out another accommodation for the remaining two nights. Overall, not a place we felt comfortable staying in.

We take guest comfort and safety seriously, and we understand how disruptive noise and building-related issues can be in a shared residential setting. We also appreciate you bringing the drainage concern to our attention—this has since been addressed to ensure proper function moving forward. Regarding the building environment, we work with what is a multi-unit property, and some factors such as neighbor noise and floor sound transfer can occasionally occur, though we recognize how uncomfortable this can be. We’ve also reinforced communication with building contacts to help address issues more promptly when they arise. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps us continue improving both the space and guest support.

Great stay in Lakeview, great location by the train station and such easy access to everywhere! Clean and bright! Great communication from host, as well!Only thing that could be improved is that the door to the apartment is not very securely sealed, the lock on the door works, but the door seems flimsy/easily pushed in if someone wanted to. We put a chair up against the door from the inside, but I’m sure that wouldn’t do much. Overall. 5 stars!!

The location is great! Parking can be an issue. There is only street parking, however, it's resident permit only in front of the apartment, so you will need to find parking somewhere else, which can be quite a few blocks away. The pictures were accurate of the apartment, it's small but enough for 2 people. It is an older building and apartment is located on the third floor (with only stairs, no elevator).

The location is tremendous and the complex is very quiet at night, even with the train tracks close by and the window open, it was nice and quiet with just whooshing train sound. (this is important because sometimes people dont want to stay by the L, but I thought it was really quiet in the neighborhood and the train sounds were minimal. The bed is the nicest bed I have almost ever slept in. It was so comfortable. If it's winter, consider leaving the windows cracked as the radiator heat is not adjustable (no apt control) but cracking the windows worked just fine. The kitchen was nice and other than the knives were dull, it was quite nice. Coffee maker worked well, good sized microwave, great refrigerator. The bathroom is good but the shower handles need some work as the shower was hard to operate and water flow was a bit weak, but the owners said they would address this. Easy access in and out and the host was in touch the whole visit for any needs and was quick to respond. TV is large and nice. Wifi was good.
