No complaints; the house had everything our party needed. Plenty of dishes, bathroom supplies and even bug spray. The nearest town is about 20 minutes away but if you want a place for a big group out of the city, this is the place to stay

This house was so roomy, airy and overall a great house for our stay in the Applegate area. We had a very peaceful and restful time at the property. Kitchen was perfect because we ate all our meals at the house. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare and serve all our meals. Close to Jacksonville, the Applegate river and wineries. The weather was perfect for exploring and hiking the area. We all agreed same place same time next year.

We were two couples, and enjoyed our stay. The home is large and would be great for a family gathering. The master bedroom is huge and has the top floor to itself. The main floor has two nice bedrooms with a shared bath. The lower floor has one bedroom and bath and a large living/game area that could sleep a few kids.The beds are comfortable and the linens are good. The kitchen is well equipped, but dinnerware is only for eight people. The home is in a very rural setting. We saw a lot of deer, and a couple of guys on horseback rounding up a stray steer from the dining room window! No grocery stores or restaurants nearby, closest seems to be Jacksonville and perhaps a convenience store. Bring everything you need, including ice as there isn’t an icemaker. And cell service is limited, although WiFi and text messages worked fine.The river is on the property but a long walk or it can be driven. Possible to fish from the bank, although we didn’t catch any. There are lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy, including a fire pit and a BBQ. Lake Applegate is about 15 minutes away, with boat launch, picnic and fishing areas.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property near Jacksonville. The home was clean, comfortable, and incredibly well-stocked — the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. It was just a short walk to the river, where we spent time every day and caught several trout — it was a great fishing spot! We were also lucky enough to see deer in the yard almost daily. The property manager was very friendly and helpful, and communication with our host, Linda, was easy and responsive. Overall, it was a peaceful, relaxing experience and we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in nature.
