Aloha, It was so awesome staying at Kulakane. Debbie was kind and helpful when booking for our staycation. Coming from Big Island to Maui for state paddling championships and coming here I think we will be looking forward to when we return again! Such a beautiful property from the easy access parking to the room and the view, pool and ocean spray my Ohana had a blast! Mahalo Nui Debbie & Kulakane! A hui ho!

Amazing location

We loved this ground floor suite which provided amazing views of the ocean. We watched humpback whales breaching each morning on the patio with our coffee. The suite itself was a bit dated but charming and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The property managers were very friendly and responsive. The building is very quiet and the environment was low-key and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Vacation

My family and I stayed here in October. This condo was everything we wanted and needed. The view was absolutely beautiful every day and the beach was just steps from our lanai. The grounds were beautiful and so well kept. The staff was amazing, they were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. I loved the location of this property and it was just what our family was looking for in a vacation. We were close to beaches for snorkeling and close to town for food and shopping. The condo was peaceful and very relaxing and a nice retreat. This condo had every amenity we needed and I really enjoyed all the special touches of turtle decor. Our family felt right at home and can’t wait to come back to visit! We were so thankful for our time spent here.

Our condo is safe, clean, and so close to the beach. Literally and actually only 96! steps (we counted)! We watched the honus 🐢 each sunset and snorkeled with them too! While the building and unit are dated, it was clean and functional. I was afraid that the lack of AC was going to be problematic but it wasn’t! There’s enough of a breeze with the screen door and windows open and they have fans and ceiling fans. Also, I think because it’s the drier side of the island, there weren’t any mosquitos there! It was heavenly. The biggest thing was the roaches. THERE WERE NONE! and this is hard to do on a tropical island. So kudos to them for keeping up with the pest control. Finally, V. of the front office was the BEST!!! she is the spirit of Aloha. She is a saint and really went out of her way to help is when our rental car keys didn’t work and the agency didn’t want to help. lahaina is recovering and they are strong so go visit, stay at the kulakane and be respectful and patient. Island life is slower so enjoy it!

What a lovely place with a great view.

Debbie, the manager and her colleagues keep the property and units extremely clean and tidy. They are as friendly and attentive as all reviews stated. With limited occupancy at present, it was a quiet and relaxing time. The ground floor units have direct access to the lawn and pool, and the lanai was a perfect place for morning coffee. It's nothing but ocean 50 feet away with waves splashing over the sea wall especially at high tide. We had temps in the mid-80's, and the sun comes in the seaside windows most of the afternoon. The lanai is a bit too bright and hot for us in the PM. This also leads to warming in the unit, even with the lovely breezes, which made us wish for a bit of AC on occasion. Traffic is not much of a problem right now, but if it got heavy, particularly in the morning, it might be a bit noisy in the bedroom with the windows open. There are great shops, restaurants and food trucks within easy walking distance. There is an excellent exercise walk from the "Turtle House" to the airport road then up and down that hill 2 or 3 times.

Reviewer Comments: The apartment is great, has all the things you need for a comfortable stay whether you want to cook at home or dine out, also has equipment to borrow if you plan to go to other beaches, friendly staff and maintenance people, residents also friendly and some gatherings every week if you want to join in. Has it’s own little beach but many Good beaches nearby, only downside is that the morning sun is a bit late but that is overwhelmingly compensated by the beautiful sunsets, all in all great stay!

I am happy to be living in paradise and I live on the property that I manage. When guests book any of our condos, I will be here to greet you personally. I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 7 and Great grandmother of 2 and I adore my family! I encourage them to come see me as often as possible as they all live on the main land. What a place to come visit Grammie and Grandpa, right?

Why they chose this property

There are so many little shops and restaurants within walking distance of the condos. There are also food trucks just down the street from here across from the Times Supermarket, which is less than a mile from the condos. Guests go get their take out food and come back and eat on their lanai's and watch for turtles. Honokowai is a very nice little neighborhood between Ka'anapali and Kahana.

What makes this property unique

We are a small 42 condo complex directly ocean front. Every condo has the same amazing view. You can see Honu (sea turtles) in the surf out front every day and during the whale season, you can watch those play all day as well. We have a Pupu (appetizers, potluck style) party every Friday night at sunset. Hawaiian tradition is to blow the conch shells at sunset every evening to each point on the compass. We do that every evening. It's a very friendly homey kind of place that I think you'll love.
