The property itself was nice and generally comfortable, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay. The main refrigerator was not working prior to arrival, and we had to rely on a small mini fridge, which made it difficult to store food or prepare meals as planned. We also noticed a dead roach during our stay, which wasn’t a major issue but worth mentioning. Additionally, the replacement of the fridge which we were told it was a part replacement, entered early on checkout day before we had fully cleared out, which felt a bit rushed and uncomfortable. Overall, an ok place, but a few improvements would make for a much better experience.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the property comfortable overall.
Prior to your arrival, we were informed that the main refrigerator required a part replacement. To minimize inconvenience, we provided a secondary refrigerator and issued a $50 courtesy credit. The full refrigerator replacement was scheduled for checkout morning specifically to avoid interrupting your stay. Appliance deliveries through Lowe’s are assigned a broad 7 AM–3 PM arrival window, and hosts are not able to select an exact time.
For clarity for future guests, during turnover cleaning we observed that the kitchen, dishes, microwave, and cooking areas were unused during this stay. The secondary refrigerator was fully operational for beverages and essentials.
Regarding the insect mentioned, this is not something we have previously encountered at the property. We maintain routine professional pest control service and high cleaning standards. In coastal environments, an occasional insect can sometimes enter briefly when doors are opened.
We remain committed to providing a clean, well-maintained property and to addressing concerns promptly when they arise.
The home was very comfortable. Everything we needed was in the home. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing as well. We enjoyed our stay for a family of 4 adults and 1 toddler. The outside room was a plus for getting away from the family for a few minutes :)
My husband and I both fell in love with this cozy bungalow. It is furnished tastefully and we really enjoyed the art. The house is surprisingly roomy and having the bonus space in the back is a real plus! The neighborhood is quiet and seemed very safe. It was great being so close to Winnie's so that we could sample the amazing food there! Dee was very helpful and accommodating with the questions we had. We hope to stay here again when we are in the area!
Fun stay at a great spot in Wilmington. Lots of wonderful family time- even did one of the puzzles together. Plenty of space for everyone. Close to many great areas! Only suggestion:Could use more cookware in kitchen. No toaster so we had to pan fry our toast. Had to buy a baking pan to make dinner but we left it there for the next visitors:)Overall a lovely home with a creative flair.

Hey Michael! Thanks for staying with us and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay overall! You’ll be happy to know we have added a regular toaster not just the toaster oven that was previously in the kitchen for guests’ use and some more kitchen amenities such as a mixer and more cookware. Thank you for the additional baking sheet and we hope to host you again soon, safe travels in the future.
