The location was amazing! We loved using the paddle boards and kayaks provided each day! Lots of towels for fun exploration and everything we needed we found, including an cooler and ice packs for taking lunches to the beach. We will definitely recommend and hope to come again.

This cottage has a very homey feel! The owners provide so many small details to make the stay very comfortable. Plenty of towels, and kitchen amenities! Loved that coffee and filters were provided ! The location was perfect for our stay. Easy to get to from Portland...and plenty of places to visit and sightsee within a short drive..or an hour drive to Boothbay. Val checked in on us by text to make sure we were doing well...she is a very attentive hostess. Sunrise view from the bedroom upstairs was a nice way to wake up!Just to note... depending on who is traveling together...that the beds are all in a shared area..with one being in a separate room but requires passing through the other bed area. The only bathroom is downstairs and the steps are a bit steep especially when going down. Definitely loved our stay here!

This charming little cottage is truly a special place. Tucked away near a beautiful cove in Maine. The “!Getaway” is close to wonderful restaurants in Portland, Falmouth Yarmouth. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed to cook meals, enjoy coffee, grill and steam lobsters.The cottage itself is cozy, comfortable, and inviting, with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. But the location is what really makes it exceptional. Being so close to the cove makes it easy to enjoy the water, take in the scenery, and simply slow down and appreciate the beauty ofThe Getaway is a lovely Cottage to sit back and relax! Val and Jim were very helpful and very gracious hosts. We would happily return and would highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing Maine getaway

We had an amazing week at the Cottage! It was clean and had everything we needed. Towels, beach chairs and toys, puzzles and games! The kids had so much fun. This is just a classic, wonderful beach house. There were a couple reviews that made us nervous, but I’m so glad we ignored them. There were gorgeous views from the windows and porch, and just a very short walk to the beach. Coffee on the Adirondack chairs, watching the sun rise with geese, ducks, and osprey was complete serenity for me. Plenty of space for our family of 5 and truly everything you need! Just bring clothes! It’s a short 10-15 min drive to Portland, 15 ish minutes to Falmouth. The hosts were just wonderful people, from start to finish, and we enjoyed their recommendations and conversation. Counting down to our next stay here!

The cottage was located In a area that made travel to see all of the cities and towns and sight seeing things we wanted to visit. We had a great time there. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation.The view from the front deck was stunning.

Old with little to no views of the ocean. Terrible parking. Outlets where old with extension cords. Lower windows had no screens so you couldn't open them. Storm doors had large gaps so you couldn't leave the inside door open for air. Ants in bathroom. Steep and narrow steps to the upstairs.musty smell. Very disappointed. The picture is where you park to see the ocean.

This guest informed me that she was on OxyContin. There are wonderful views of the ocean especially from the front deck and patio. You are 7 steps from the beach. Parking is tight and we have 3 spots to park. Outlets are all up to code and we provide extension cords to charge cell phones. All windows have screens. Doors have new screens. There are no ants. DampRid takes care of any musty smell. Fans provide circulation of air throughout.
