The Blue Marlin is a charming beach front home with many amenities. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a large living room area, bright spacious dining area with seating for 8 and well-equipped kitchen. The living area has plenty of seating, a large flat screen TV with blu ray DVD and streaming. The house also features a stereo/CD player, 3 additional smart TVs in the bedrooms, free wireless internet, hot and cold outdoor shower, fish cleaning sink, games, beach chairs and beach gear.
There is a private game room with a full size slate pool table, foos ball table and a 6 person hot tub! The fenced yard is perfect to keep your furry family members secure.
The master bedroom has a king bed and attached bathroom with a large walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and a full bed, the third bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a crib for our young guests! The 2nd bathroom has a tub/shower combo. All the rooms have large windows to enjoy the wonderful views.
There is Polywood furniture on the upper and lower decks to comfortably relax while you enjoy the view of the Gulf. Dine outside at the table or relax in one of the rockers or chaise lounges!
Walk off the deck and you are on one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The house is on 100' of beachfront offering you fabulous views of sunrises year round and sunsets in the winter!
The Blue Marlin is an amazing vacation location for you and your family. Swim with the dolphins, fish, or just recline on the white, sugary sand. When you're done with the beach, enjoy the outdoor hot/cold shower and prepare the day's catch on the covered park-style charcoal grill. Then enjoy a game of pool and soak in the large hot tub.
At night, enjoy a show from the deck as you watch the stars as they light up the sky! Yes! You can actually see the stars because St. George Island does not have any light pollution!!
In addition to the many amenities, our guests also enjoy discounts from local gear rental stores and for stays up to 21 days, credit towards rentals from VayK!
We are pet friendly! Up to 2 any-size dogs (no other types of pets please) can stay at the house at a time (pet stay will apply – 15% of all pay stays are donated to the Franklin County Humane Society). We supply a large indoor dog crate for your four-legged family members! The fenced yard is perfect for dogs. It has access from the deck (and the deck has a gate as well). Please bring covers if your dog sits on furniture.

We had a lovely week staying in Blue Marlin. The house was cozy and comfortable. Exactly as advertised. Beachfront location was great. Plenty of communication from the owners. Absolutely would stay here again.

Thanksgiving at the beach

This house reminded me of many happy visits to the beach as a kid. We enjoyed the games, the outdoor playroom, the ease of getting to the park, the comfy beds, the incredible view, the fenced porch and yard, etc. The hosts were very responsive as well. This isn't fancy, but it is just right!

Nice location on beach near “town” well stocked house with many labels for pots and pans.

Most relaxing stay ever!

We spent my birthday week at The Blue Marlin on St George Island. The place was perfect with all the amenities you could possibly need. Perfect location right on the beach with just steps to the ocean. Beautiful sunrises which we got up early every morning to sit and watch and drink coffee. A turtle nest on the beach even hatched while we were there. Our dog even had a great time and loved walking the beach. We appreciate you sharing your beautiful house with us and our fur baby!

Blue Marlin was just right for he four of us!!

Weather was beautiful, dolphins were frisky and oysters were plentiful!! We'll be back!! Try The Journey sandwich at Boss Oysters in Apalachicola.

Beautiful home, right on the beach, looked exactly like the pics on site, everything we needed was already there, the whole island was so friendly and inviting and especially with our dogs =) We will definately look for Tom & Lucindas home again for the next vacation! Everything worked out perfect! The home is clean and beautiful. Straight to the beach - used the VayK credit for chairs and large umbrella - those guys were great as well…only problem was - the stay just wasn’t long enough. Looking forward to returning soon!

Perfect Family Getaway

Great location on the beach. No crowds. Plenty of room for the 6 of us and our dog. Decent sized bedrooms. Loved the outdoor shower. Ocean is steps away. Kids loved the game room. We were lucky to see turtles come out of their nests and head for the water. Beach chairs and boogie boards were included. We will definitively be back.

Never gets old.

This was our second stay at the Blue Marlin and it was just as exciting as the first time. The view never gets old and with all the great amenities the Blue Marlin is a must to stay at. Tom and Lucinda know how to update and take care of their properties and make you feel at home. Steps to the beach, awesome view from the deck and hot tub. Enjoyed every day at the Blue Marlin. Love it and will be back for the third time.

Loved it!

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had renting for the week. Tom and Lucinda were excellent to work with throughout the whole process. They did a great job of communicating every detail. We would definitely rent from them again. The house is great. It is clean and practical. It was wonderful to walk right out to the beautiful beach.

Great for dogs AND people

We loved St George Island and Blue Marlin in particular. Wish we could have stayed longer than a month; we'll definitely be back. Great location and great house for us and our dog (except for the sand spurs, but it's Florida!). Lucinda was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed Blue Parrot; the other pet-friendly eateries are good, too. The beach was the best for dogs we've stayed at - darned near perfect. The house is well-equipped and easy to be in. The view from the lighthouse is fantastic. We also enjoyed going into Apalachiacola; nice town.

What a house....What a week!!

Tom and Lucinda, The Blue Marlin is a great beach house. Can't say enough about your piece of heaven on the sand. We had a wonderful relaxing stay in your home. Dolphins played right out in front of the house all hours of the day and evening. Kitchen is well equipped and the game room is great! We made use of the pool table and the hot tub. These are 2 great additions to have since there is not much to do on the island (which is why we chose St. George Island). We brought our pug Chip and he loved the beach. He had as hard of a time adjusting from island time to reality as we did the next week after our stay. Thanks again for renting us your home for the week. We can't wait to book it again for next year!!

Comfortable, with a great view!

This was our first trip to St. George Island, and we had a great time! The Blue Marlin is older, but well-equipped, and nicely decorated. The closest Walmart is 60 miles away, but they have a Dollar General across the bridge, and a Piggly Wiggly in Apalachicola. The beachfront deck and dining area have a gorgeous view, with dolphins passing close by each morning! We also enjoyed the Jacuzzi and game room very much. The fishing off of the beach was not so good, but we hooked some HUGE fish off of the old bridge, including a cobia about 3' long! We will likely stay at the Blue Marlin again next year. Avoid Teach's Raw Bar! My wife had hair in her food, and the oysters made me sick! Harry A's is better, and had a GREAT band after hours. The Owl Cafe' in Apalachicola was very good, but pricey.

Summer 2013

Walked in (after many days of rain! and wind) and the dining room floor had water standing. I was actually on the phone with the owner, Linda. She offered to have someone clean it up, and within an hour, the roofers were there and worked on the roof! We had a somewhat dry week, and no more problems with leaks. Absolutely loved the pool table, bikes, and beach! Rented a tandem kayak from "jolly roger" to see the dolphins. They deliver and pick up the kayaks, and are very nice. This was just what we needed...a no muss no fuss vacation. A perfect island getaway to do a lot of nothing, except RELAX. The owners also checked in mid week to make sure everything was going well. Now after being back at work for 1 week, i'm ready to go back!!!

Awesome experience!

We reside in Florida and usually vacation near Bradenton beach. We decided to try a different area on the west coast this time, and we were very satisfied. It was an amazing experience. St George Island is great, with beautiful white sandy beaches. We had the opportunity to kayak and paddleboard while the dolphins were swimming nearby; it was an experience out of this world. The blue Marlin is a great house to stay, you have the most amazing view of the beach, even from the living room and while you are cooking meals. Although we thought that it was going to be too hot during August to use the hot tub, we were wrong… there were some rainy and breezy days that allow us to enjoy the great hot tub and also to play pool and foosball downstairs. We had a wonderful family vacation. It was also great the fact that I was able to bring my dogs and discovered that they love to swim in the beach. Lucinda and Tom are very prompt answering any question concern and/or issues. I recommend The Blue Marlin to anyone that is looking forward for a great vacation place, and hope to visit again in the future.

Fourth of July at the Blue Marlin

For the past fifteen years we have taken a family vacation to St. George which started with our son and daughter in law. Now the week includes our two beautiful grandchildren that we have been blessed with, and sometimes we have "Maw-Maw", my 81 year old mother, and a grand-dog. The fourth of July week at the Blue Marlin was near perfect. The home was cozy and so close to the beautiful beaches and ocean that we could enjoy the view from the deck. This location is perfect for families and I loved seeing and hearing other families enjoying the beach. Maw-Maw has difficulty getting around but for the first time in many years, she was able to make the trek to the beautiful beach. This is mostly because the house was in such a great location and the beach access was close to the best we've ever had. The Blue Marlin was perfect for our family this year. Our grandchildren and grand-dog were as happy as could be. The game room and hot tub were a huge hit with everyone as well. The home was exactly as described. It was very clean and there were beach towels, and plenty of linens. There were all sorts of beach toys and chairs and bikes. Tom and Lucinda, the owners, were wonderful to check in on us to make sure everything was as it should be. They really made our week as enjoyable as possible. My mom told me as we were leaving, "It has been a great week. I got to do things that I thought I would never be able to do again, walking down to the beach and spending time as a family on the beach." A New Years Blast

We loved bringing in the New Year at the property. Lucinda reached out and was very helpful. The view is amazing and the hot tub was the perfect to recover at our Polar Plunge at the Blue Parrot. We had a great time staying here!

Hello and thank you for looking at our beach house! We live in Franklin County, FL and enjoy spending time on the quaint island of St. George. Tom grew up in Switzerland and Lucinda grew up in New York state. We are active people that like to travel to unique places - together we have traveled to 5 continents (hoping to hit all 7!) We were exploring the Florida Panhandle when we happened upon St. George Island and fell in love with the tranquil beaches. We enjoy all the beach activities, great weather and friendly people. We hope you enjoy The Blue Marlin and the island as much as we do.

After we visited St. George Island, we knew this was a place that we needed to have more connections. The Blue Marlin has wonderful views and a great beach front location. We are just a few steps to the beach which is the perfect location for us! St. George Island has many conveniences we want including great recreational activities year round, delicious restaurants, nice people and small town feel.
