We have stayed at many places on the Cape, and this is the best by far. Its lakeside location and wonderful amenities made it a perfect family vacation. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
We had a wonderful week on Bucks Pond. Great little beach with kayaks and a paddle boat, clean and spacious house, and a great deck and outdoor space. Would definitely recommend.
This property is in a great neighborhood with a beautiful lakeview. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and paddle boat and liked that the house had two different levels. We were close to some of the other Cape towns which allowed us to explore their downtowns. We loved our summer vacation.
Our stay at this beautiful home was wonderful! The home was clean, comfortable, roomy and had a wonderful view of the pond. Sitting on the screened in porch , had you feeling like you were right on the water. There was plenty of seating for inside and out for relaxing and enjoying the view. We will definitely be returning to this lovely home.
We have used this property for years and enjoyed it especially this year as the weather was great. The location is convenient to both Harwich and Chatham with the added advantage of being on a fresh water pond (a New England term for a small lake!). If the wind and/or temperature at the beach are not good, the pond is more protected and you can still enjoy swimming and boating.
The house was everything we hoped for and more. We are a family of eight and it was the first time for all of us vacationing together. We hope to make it a yearly trip. Great location and fully equipped with all you might need.
The property is beautiful. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch enjoying the view of the lake. The property was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pedal boat and kayaks as well! The outdoor shower was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and Jennifer and Glenn were amazing to work with. They were very accommodating to me and my family when we had challenges with our travel day. Wonderful hosts! We would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you!

We love this vacation home. The location is excellent, being located on a quiet lake and only minutes from the ocean. The house is very clean and the layout allows for plenty of room for our extended family to relax without feeling overcrowded. The home's amenities are perfect and the town of Harwich is close to many Cape attractions/activities.
We had a wonderful family vacation in this lakeside home. The house is well-equipped for a family ā lake ātoysā, kitchen needs, linens, etc. The house is impeccably clean and open concept so amenable to an easy use of the kitchen, dining area, and living room. We go to the Cape almost every year and this is the best house!
The location is great: right on Buckās Pond and close to several towns on the Cape. The house is extremely well stocked with all the things you want and often donāt get in a vacation rental: kitchen supplies; bath and beach towels; all kinds of outdoor chairs; kayaks, floats and more stuff for the beach. The host, Jennifer, is helpful and very responsive.
We visited this home for our yearly summer trip to the Cape and absolutely loved the property! Itās close to everything but feels delightfully quiet and private. The shared spaces both inside and out were perfect for our family because we love to all be together cooking and eating and relaxing. The pond view was gorgeous and having the kayaks and paddleboat available was so much fun.
The house truly does have everything you could want in a summer Cape vacation rental! We really enjoyed our stay.
Side note: we used our own towels and linens for the most part so we didnāt have to do a ton of laundry on Saturday morning. But it is all provided.

Tranquil, scenic, well appointed vacation home
This was our first week long vacation to Cape Cod, as we are traditionally Maine vacationers, and we had a fantastic time! Jennifer was delightful to work with. Harwich is such a terrific location! Close to everything! The house was fully stocked! The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were both large. The pond was gorgeous!
Awesome house on Buckās PondThis is the second year
We were so lucky to stay at this incredible house again this year!!! Itās our familyās weekly vacation on Cape Cod, Dad, Mom, daughter and husband, son and two 7 year old cousins!!! The beautifully decorated home had everything we needed and when we had a problem, it was dealt with immediately! Buckās Pond was a big draw for fishing, swimming, and playing! I was amazed at how creative the grandchildren were at keeping themselves busy at the pond! They just loved it! Hopefully weāll be able to stay again next year! Thanks so much Jennifer and your very helpful husband!
My friends went and enjoyed their stay. The weather was not in their favor but made the best of it. I unfortunately was ill and couldnāt make it. They loved the house and all the amenities.I would love to try going again, but I would go June or early September. Host Jennifer was very easy to reach out to. KC
Our family had a great time on the pond! Great location and easy access for a fun day at Marthaās Vineyard. Families beware, plan on spending your last day doing laundry. We started the washer at 7:30 am and kept it running and still didnāt get it all done. Unfortunately, our wonderful vacation ended on a stressful note due to the laundry. We still had a great time and made wonderful memories!

A wonderful vacation spot!
This is a wonderful vacation spot. From this screened porch there is a great view of Bucks Pond, our beach with the three kayaks and paddle boat, and a chance to watch family members swim out to our raft, or boat across the pond. Boating and swimming in Bucks Pond is great! There is also a ground floor patio with plenty of comfortable seating, a good view and a very good grill.
The house is really nice, meets all of our needs. There are two bedrooms and a bath on each floor. There is also a separate living room on each floor. The kitchen is very well stocked. All the furniture is well maintained, attractive and comfortable. We look forward to returning again.

Wonderful waterfront home
This home on a private swimming pond is wonderful. The pond is beautiful, clear and keeps a pleasant temperature. The home is well-maintained and spacious enough for an extended family to have plentiful privacy. The beds and all the furniture are very comfortable and attractive. The children loved to swim out to the raft (a nice swim, not too far) and also to take the kayaks or paddleboat out to the raft. My son loved to swim across the pond each morning, and the children loved to go out on the kayaks. Besides this the restaurants and theater nearby were fine with the family, and we were near Chatham and Orleans. We look forward to returning to this wonderful home.
House was larger than expected as was Bucks Pond! The back deck view was fantastic at all hours and the surrounding neighborhood was super quiet while we were there. Loved the easy water access just down the stairs for a quick kayak ride and the beach being literally a one minute walk was super nice for a morning stroll. Central Cape location made for easy exploring in all directions. House interior was nice and clean with just about everything you'd need for a stay. Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows & blankets available. It's a great house in a great location. Only item of note is having to wash sheets and towels prior to leaving. We were fortunate that we did not have to depart super early to wash and dry our two loads, but keep that in mind if you do, otherwise no complaints at all!
After months of hunkering down in Boston, my family and I needed a change of scenery, and this lovely property on Bucks Pond in East Harwich was perfect for a relaxing and tranquil autumn vacation. Being able to just gaze at the pond and enjoy the peaceful quiet while I sipped hot coffee in the morning was just what I needed to decompress. The house itself is spacious and nicely decorated with good-sized bedrooms and two living spaces, quite roomy for 4 of us. We remarked that this would be excellent for families with young kids; the nearby pond beach is really pretty. The location is excellent: close to Chatham and to a major shopping area, including a well-stocked Stop n Shop, and with the Outer Cape within easy reach (just over 30 min up Rt 6 to P-town). Our hosts (Jennifer & Scott Bryant) communicate promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property: five stars and then some!
This was our yearly vacation stay which included a Mother, Father, daughter and husband, son and 2, 6 year old grandchildren. The pics of the house donāt do it justice! It is much larger than it appears! The furnishings are beautiful! The screened in porch was wonderful and enjoyed by everyone. We loved being steps from the pond! The water is very clear and we can attest that thereās lots of fish to be caught and then we released them. The grands were in and out of the water several times a day. Lots of room here to spread out. Sunsets were awesome! Jennifer got back to us immediately whenever we had questions! We had a fun-filled vacation and weāre looking forward to returning next year! Many thanks to Jennifer and her husband!

Pleasant and Relaxing
The overall experience was quite enjoyable. The owner was very pleasant and prompt with any questions we had prior to our arrival. We absolutely loved the screened in porch which allowed us to enjoy the evenings free of pests. We also took full advantage of the kayaks and paddle boat which were provided. The home was comfortable and clean, though it took some time to figure out all of the light switches! The queen bedroom downstairs was not the most comfortable, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker and as someone who loves to cook I'd like to see a bit more kitchen utensils. My only suggestion for outside is to make that middle light on the patio a ceiling fan/light combo to further enjoy those warm summer nights. The location is great, the house was well-kept and it was a fantastic family friendly area not far from the bike path or children's playground.
This was our second summer at Clearwater Drive and it was a hit for the whole family once again. We love this place, itās the perfect spot for young families and super accessible to all of the Cape.
The house is really clean and really well stocked with everything you need. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, body boards, floats. Pretty much everything you need for a day at the beach. Also the screened-in porch which looks out over the water is a huge plus. We pretty much spend our whole time out there when in the house. Coffee and breakfast in the morning. Card games and reading in the afternoon and drinks in the evening. Itās a great spot to watch storms roll through too. And the icing on the cake is bucks pond. Having very easy access to this freshwater pond is so amazing. Itās shallow for the little kids to splash and play for hours on end. We love spending the day there, doing a little fishing early morning, or ending the day with a swim in the pond. Jennifer and Glenn are super gracious hosts and they are close by so very easy to communicate with if you need anything. We are already dreaming about our stay next summer!!
This is our third time staying at this lovely house. Love the location the layout.

About the host

My husband and I are from Cape Cod and love all the area has to offer. This home is a summer dream come true! We are happy to share this special place with you and your family.
Why they chose this property
Growing up on the Cape, we have always loved to swim and sail the ocean, our freshwater home offers a peaceful setting to relax just steps away from all the activity.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this home because of the open concept, vast water views and the fact our children can play at their own beach and swim in freshwater just steps from our home!
