This downstairs of this two-level home was perfect for a getaway. It was clean with an eclectic lived in feel. Host added many thoughtful touches/extras to this home. The best part is location and views! You can’t beat Deer Lake.

Awesome cabin vacay

Great place to relax. Has all the cabin-esque stuff, as well as modern amenities. The lake is beautiful and sometimes it’s nice to just sit on the dock with your feet in the water. This is the way to vacation. Bring some groceries, grill some food, and relax.

The property is very welcoming and charming. The hostess is kind and courteous, her space is fun and very functional. There was a hot tub right outside our door on a private patio, the firepit halfway between the home and the lake. The dock is a wonderful place to begin your morning with a cup of coffee. I would certainly stay there again.

We so enjoyed our stay ! The apartment is very nice with a cozy cabin feel. The view of the lake and autumn colors were vibrant! We especially enjoyed afternoon/evening campfires. Jeannie checked us in and made sure we were comfortable.....also offered information about colorful scenic drives and hiking trails. I would recomend a stay at her apartment if youre in the Northern MN area !! :)

Great Getaway

Perfect vacation! Peaceful, beautiful, setting with a wonderful hostess. Quiet evenings listening to the Loons and the wind in the trees is the best environment one could hope for to forget your troubles. Jean was a wonderful, accommodating, interesting hostess. Everything was as advertised. This is an ideal location for decompressing and renewing your health, physical and mental.

Loved this quiet, scenic property on Deer Lake in MN. Crafty decorations, separate bedroom, spa like bathroom, full kitchen, very comfotable front room/sitting room with amazing view of lake and great outdoor space with eating and lounging areas. Wonderful time cut short.

We were booked for 4 nights but got a call that my father in law was passing. We had to leave 2 days early. We hated to go, we loved our stay and our time with the homeowner. She is wonderful and so helpful.

We were looking for a place to stay near the lakes in Grand Rapids and this was perfect. We fished Deer Lake and Trout Lake and had a great time. I would say the bed and the pull-out are not comfortable; perhaps a foam pad for the pull-out bed would help as the bars dig in. There were foam pads on the bed but the mattress itself wasn't great. All in all, I would stay here again as the view was spectacular and the host was friendly and helpful.
