Charming 2-bedroom house with WiFi, AC in sunny South Padre Island
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful stand alone single family home located within walking distance to the beach or the bay. Home is located on a dead-end street, providing peace and quiet on an otherwise busy island during peak tourist seasons.
This spacious stand alone home provides water views from the second story deck. The living area of the home is located on the second story and stairs are required for entry.
Upon entering the home, you are greeted with a open concept floor plan, with no walls obstructing the areas between the kitchen, dining and living rooms. There is plenty of seating for everyone, whether you are enjoying a game of cards at the dining table that expands to seat up to six, or keeping an eye on the cooks in the kitchen seated atop one of several bar stools at the kitchen peninsula.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and cooking utensils as well as the expected dinnerware. Kitchen appliances are fairly new and include a fridge with filtered water and ice maker, a dishwasher and a glass top stove (please use it carefully). There is also a gas grill on the lower level patio/covered parking area for cooking out, complete with grilling utensils.
Relax in the living room on one of two couches to enjoy your favorite binge worthy TV shows on the big screen Samsung Smart TV, or in front of a crackling fire on the indoor fireplace (don't worry, it can be operated with or without heat). This home is equipped with reliable high speed internet and Wi-Fi through out the house.
The large laundry/storage room is equipped with a reliable Samsung washer and dryer and plenty of room on the shelves to store items you prefer to tuck away during your stay.
The master bedroom is attached to the private master bathroom and is equipped with a Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam mattress on a platform queen size bed. Stay cool in this room which also features a ceiling fan. The bathroom features a spacious stand up shower and exhaust fan.
The guest bedroom is attached to the guest bathroom. The guest bathroom is also accessible from the main living area. The guest bedroom features two full beds with a single mattress and full air mattress in the closet to place on the floor. This room also has a ceiling fan to keep guests cool. The guest bath is equipped with a shower/tub combo as well as heat and exhaust fans.
The second story deck and the spacious back yard surrounded completely with privacy fence offer even more areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather South Padre has to offer. You may even be able to catch one of the Island's many free fireworks shows (Gulf side only) from the second story deck... look for them around 9-915 pm, normally on weekends.
Guests will have access to the entire house, including the spacious and fenced back yard, the second story deck, and off street parking. One vehicle can fit under the car port with another two/three vehicles able to fit in the driveway.
Guests will NOT have access to the top floor balcony, storage area nor garage.
House Rules:
- Please observe quiet hours between 9p-9a. We have a good relationship with our neighbors and would like to treat them with respect while we are away!
- Pets are not allowed on this property.
- No smoking anywhere on the property! This includes the outdoor areas of the property as well. evidence of smoking on the property will result in a $300 non refundable fee.
- There is a gas grill provided. The use of charcoal grills on this property is strictly prohibited.
- Guest agrees to read the information contained in the guest rental agreement on this listing in its ENTIRETY prior to booking.
NOTE: VRBO collects and remits the 6% Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) for the State of Texas. Other taxes collected include South Padre Island and Cameron County charge additional Hotel Occupancy and other taxes at a rate of 11%. Loved living on SPI for my short time there and hope others can use this rental to enjoy their time visiting the beautiful SPI as well.
Why they chose this property
Neighbors in this neighborhood are wonderful and friendly. Located in a dead end neighborhood, there is less traffic and it is away from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas of the island, yet still accessible to the beach and close enough to walk to some local spots or catch the free bus to other places on the island.
What makes this property unique
This is a stand along home, not a condo nor townhouse - no shared walls. The large deck is great for morning coffee and watching the weekend fireworks (bay side only). The covered parking area offers a nice escape from the heat and if there is a nice breeze, just open the main gate and it will keep you nice a cool while relaxing and playing games in the shade!
