The Historic Powhatan Resort offers guests a little piece of colonial history with the restored Manor House (circa 1735). Nestled among 256 acres of beautiful woodland, this resort is loaded with fun things to see and do, and learn a little bit of American history.

All rentals are self-catering, cleaned before your arrival and cleaned once you depart. You may choose to have a Mid Stay Clean for an additional fee during your stay to freshen the property back up.

- All Guest Suites are Non-Smoking

- Please note that every attempt will be made to accommodate requests for suite location and early arrivals; however, these requests are based on availability and occupancy. Unfortunately, the resort is unable to guarantee room location.

- Minimum age requirement for check-in is 21 years of age.

- Pets are not permitted and strictly enforced with the exception of Service Animals.

**Pool Details:
Indoor Pool: Daily 8 am-10 pm , Outdoor Pools: Open for swimming and sunning from Mid April through late October 8 am -10 pm, weather permitting. In the case of thunder, both indoor and outdoor pools close for a half hour after the thunder passes.

ADDITIONAL COSTS:
$20 per day resort fee due at check in.

Resort Fee includes WiFi, business center, indoor pool, racquet ball, tennis and boarding pass printing. Plus access to all other onsite amenities.

The Welcome Center will send a detailed arrival letter to you via email with check in instructions, late arrival info, everything you will need once you make your final payment on your reservation. If you have paid in full for your reservation, a detailed arrival letter will be sent as soon as possible.

The place is okay

The place was decent. It was kind of clean. Found ants on the counter. The fireplace heat did not work. One of the microwaves didn’t work. They push you to join the Hilton club.

The property is great, unit was as advertised. Very clean. Well furnished. Our only issue was with getting an accessible room. At check in we asked for an accessible room. Told we had one. There was a 6 inch step to get into the unit. The bathroom doors could not even accommodate a walker. The bathroom had shower grab bars, but that was the only indication of accessibility. We were only there 2 nights so didn't inquire about moving, just made do. However upon checkout it turns out we were not in an accessible unit at all. To be clear this was a mistake on the check in clerks part, and had nothing to do with the owner or how the unit was advertised. Would definitely stay here again, now knowing where the accessible units are located.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE

We had not hot water for first 2 days. When we complained they came to “fix” it and while we temporarily had hot water, at midnight there was electrical fire and property managers didn’t have access to key to access the hot water heater and had to call firefighters in the middle of the night.We had to vacate property between 1-2am to another apart where the door lock wasn’t working. My mom and daughter had headaches from fire smoke.We left ALL of our food and kitchen dishes, crockpot etc in the kitchen to be picked up next morning and we clearly communicated so since we didn’t want to keep packing at 2am.Yet next morning before 9:30am ALL of our property left on the premises of apartment where fire had occurred, had already been completely trashed!A fridge full to the brim of food, dishes, new freezer coolers, ALL of our decorations for our mother 75th birthday the whole reason we had taken the trip.Plan was to have one last breakfast for her birthday that morning.Yes they offered us free breakfast on premises at the restaurant but that hardly makes up for all the lack of care and communication between all their departments.First of all probably a fire code violation not to have access to keys to unlock the hot water heater that was definitely super rusty and on its last leg. It should have been replaced before we got there. We paid several thousand $ for that stay.You could have replaced 4 hot water heaters with that $ and I know it because we just changed ours at my house. I’m only thankful we were still awake when fire started because we could all have burnt in our sleep.Smell had started going up the stairs to the apartment where the children were sleeping. Then the fact that the Cleaning crew key even had access to the apartment that we were still supposed to be in possession of that morning to retrieve our property.So thankful We took the time to pack our bedroom property with clothes and stuff and took it with us or we would have had EVERYTHING thrown out.No to mention the fact that trash was being removed outside very noisely at 5:49am on a Saturday for literally 2 hours I heard them drag the trash containers on the asphalt in a resort where quite time lasts by their rules till 7am! So they woke me up early on Saturday and didn’t get to sleep till after 2am due to fire. Then trash our property.I have stayed at this resort before but never did I have so many issues. Needless to say not worth even half the $ we paid. Save your$ &stay elsewh

Family Vacation 2021

We absolutely loved the property and will recommend it to others. The resort was definitely family friendly and the location of the resort is in the middle of town where there is plenty of attractions to visit and plenty of restaurants. We did something every single day. It was a fabulous vacation with family.

Family gathered for a wedding

We rented two suites for my daughter’s wedding. Everything was clean and in working order. Unfortunately the indoor pool was closed due to COVID, but can’t blame that one the resort.. Overall it was a good experience for our entire family.

Greensprings was very nice. We had 9 people in our party so we had the adjoining 2 bedroom condos. Worked out very well. Property is very pretty and well maintained. It’s about a 15 minute drive to restaurants.

Great location for family event

Our large family group gathered at Greensprings resort, Williamsburg, for a weekend birthday celebration. We rented 4 double condos to accommodate all 30 of us. The comfortable condos were perfect for our family, and three of the condos were even in the same building. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even sent birthday wishes to our guest of honor. Would definitely return to this lovely resort! Thank you!

The place is nice and clean. Located near great attraction for everyone. More importantly it's nice and away from the crazy traffic and easy to get to. The resort itself feels like staying in a nice 2 room condo. It wasn't crazy expensive either. I will defiantly go back and book through vrbo again
