About this property

Moose Ridge Lodge Sum

Summary:
Escape to Moose Ridge Lodge, a stunning chalet nestled in the heart of Fairplay, Colorado. This mountain retreat offers breathtaking views and a cozy atmosphere, perfect for families and friends looking to make great memories in the mountains! Enjoy modern amenities including a hot tub, indoor fireplace, and fully equipped kitchen. With three bedrooms, comfortably sleeping multiple guests, and close proximity to outdoor adventures like skiing Breckenridge, mountain climbing 14er's, off roadings, and more Moose Ridge Lodge is your ideal home base for exploring the Colorado Rockies. We also make this a natural experience with all natural cleaning products and 100% vegan soaps and shampoos. Up to 2 dogs allowed with the pet fee of $100. Probably a good idea to keep on a leash outside with the wildlife in the area.

The Space:
Enjoy the spacious upstairs master with an on-suite master bath or hang out in the comfy loft. Downstairs is a second living room with the kitchen a full bath and the king guest room. Downstairs the kids have a bunkroom and their own place to hang out and play foosball.

Guest Access:
Private entrance, door code provided.

Other Things to Note:
The whole area is at 10,000 ft plus so please take it easy the first day and drink lots of water if coming from a lower elevation. This cabin is one of the ones at at a lower elevation for the area and close to the highway but during the winter (Oct-April) you should have snow tires or chains for traveling anywhere in the mountains, and AWD or 4WD is recommended.

The Gem of Fairplay

My family and I recently stayed 4 nights at Moose Ridge Lodge. The house had a great central location to everything we wanted to do. It was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed ending each day in the hot tub. We will definitely be returning here for another stay in Fairplay.

Had a wonderful stay with our family!Cabin is very kid friendly with multiple places for kids to go have fun (carpeted loft area with smart TV, basement playroom with foosball table, bunk bed room in basement, great outdoor space to explore and kids loved the playground). Our kids didn't want to leave!Well stocked with everything you need which is such a nice experience. Kitchen was stocked and easy to use, plenty of laundry supplies, etc. When issues or questions did come up the property manager was super responsive and great to work with. Our favorite bit - location, location, location! We came for fall color viewing and were pleasantly surprised to find that the drive in to the neighborhood, and straight outside the cabin, was full of stunning Aspen views! (Our photos below have the views on the property)The only knock, literally, was the boiler is a bit old and the pipes knocked when it kicked on. Sounds like it should be fixed soon, but if you're a light sleeper you might bring earplugs.Beautiful location and cozy setup for anyone, but definitely our best travel experience we've had with small kids. We will definitely stay again if we're back in the area.
