Great place and host. Everything was exactly as expected from the listing, and even better. The fenced yard was great for the dog. Neighborhood was safe and walkable and close to all the restaurants and attractions.

We had a great stay in Port Clinton during our visit to Cedar Point. The home was clean, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a busy day at the park. It warmed up quickly which in October was a plus for my wife, so we were always comfortable. Pet friendly home a plus for me. Our host was accommodating, and checkout was easy. We would happily stay here again!

Very easy to find & in a nice neighborhood. Within walking distance of shops & waterfront. Driveway access to front & back doors (but steps up into house at both). Absolutely massive backyard with plenty of chairs & a functioning fire table. Our tiny Pekingese didn’t know what to do with all the yard space!

Another Great Stay

I almost hesitate to share how much I love this place because I’d hate for it to be fully booked the next time I want to visit. This was our third stay at Castaway Cottage, and it never disappoints. The space is always spotless, cozy, and full of charm. We love the backyard too! Scott, the owner, is wonderful to work with and truly makes you feel right at home. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would!

VERY NICE AND CLEAN OLDER HOME CLOSE TO MANY AMENITIES.

This was a nice place close to where we wanted to be. An older home in a nice neighborhood. It was very clean and had all the things we needed to be comfortable. The host were extremely attentive and made sure we made the most of our stay. We did bring a pet and although there was a great big back yard for her to roam, there is no direct access from inside the house to the back yard. The back gate is only a few steps from the side door, however it was not enjoyable having to go out with her in the rain to let her do her business.

The Castaway Cottage was a memorable place! Beautiful outside in front of house with lantern decorations on porch & lights around bushes. Equally nice & cozy inside with 2 beds, 1 bath inside. Updated appliances. Beds so comfortable with memory foam. Such a nice sleep. He has fans in ea room on floor in case you need more air. I did. Lol. There is a washer/dryer in one appliance , really nice, we used it a lot too. We even used oven & stove! Nice refrigerator too! The backyard was a huge area for our dogs ( we had approval for 2).Very, Very Pet Friendly. The dogs loved it! The host Scott was amazing on the communication! He really cares about his guests to enjoy their stay. I feel like I made a good friend! I will remember this place & definitely book again! Thank you so much Scott for an amazing stay, we very much enjoyed.

House was clean and the back yard was great for our dog to run and play! The bed was comfortable, only wished there was a TV in main bedroom.
