The outdoor porch area is beautiful with many places to sit and relax. It's too bad the owners put the A/C compressors next to the porch where everyone congregates, why didn't they place it in the other side of the house? The inside is pretty dirty. I would recommend the rugs be cleaned. Good supply of pots and pans, but absolutely no pantry or extra cabinet to store food in. The ice maker in the counter is nice, but the ice maker in the freezer is not working

This was our third stay in DeBordieu Colony, and once again, it did not disappoint. We absolutely love the peaceful setting, the abundance of wildlife, and the opportunity to truly unwind outdoors—it’s such a special place.Berry Restful is ideally located—about as close to the beach as you can get without being directly oceanfront. The easy access made daily trips to the shore effortless, which was a huge plus for our group.The home itself was clean and welcoming, with comfortable rooms that made it easy to settle in and relax. While the property has a more classic, lived-in feel, we found that it added to the charm and did not take away from our experience in the slightest.One of the standout features is that the property is dog-friendly. We do not have dogs but see this feature being a bonus for many.Overall, Berry Restful provided everything we needed for a relaxing beach getaway in a beautiful, nature-filled community. We would absolutely consider staying here again.

Fun Family Week

The location of this beach house was great, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The response time for questions before we arrived was great as well. However, the property itself is very dated and could really use some cosmetic updates. The furnishings, finishes, and décor felt worn and outdated. We also noticed that several floor tiles were loose or coming off, which created a potential safety concern. While the house was functional, we just expected a bit more considering the community we were in. With some renovations and general maintenance, this could be a much sought after rental. The kitchen seemed to be the most updated part of the home with everything we needed, which was appreciated. We also loved how we were a quick walk to the beach. For now, I'd recommend it primarily for the location rather than the condition of the home.
