Although this is a pet friendly place, pets were not allowed on the beach and many other areas. The house had a lot of room. Beach was only down 3 houses and was great! The house needs some work.

The house is roomy, has plenty of beds and is an ideal location to the beach. The property was not cleaned in between the prior guests and our stay. This was extremely disappointing, inconvenient and upsetting. The owner was very apologetic, explained that the prior guests had left the property very clean in the past, and offered to come clean it for us, but we’d already started cleaning and would have finished by the time they arrived and we didn’t want to move our belongings after unpacking. It literally was not cleaned at all and seemed that it had not been in awhile. Pet hair, dirt, sand and dirty toilets made an unfortunate first day experience. We did receive financial compensation, but we’d have preferred to sleep in a clean house. The second part is our fault for making assumptions, but feel should be noted in the house details. There was no grill, no coffee maker and no beach badges. None were promised, but we’d assumed wrong based on our past stays in LBI. We wound up spending more than anticipated in eating out and think these amenities that are usually included should be noted as being absent. The laundry room was also misleading, as it required going outdoors and into a very dirty basement/crawl space that had leaking pipes. Again, the owners were kind and apologetic, but we were disappointed and felt like we just had to make the best of a situation that was not ideal compared to past experiences renting on the island for over 20 years.

Amazing time. At first, it was hard since there was no internet and the weather was bad, but it was a blessing. It forced my friends and me to really enjoy time together without technology getting in the way!
