We really enjoyed our stay at Kalina’s Cottage. The location was perfect being in close proximity to the Roundtop Antique Show. The cottage was clean, beds were comfortable, farm was quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice secluded older home that was comfortably furnished. Close enough to shopping! Only thing that would have been nice is to have access to a plug on either side of King bed for CPAP/phone charger.

Fun Warren weekend

Granddaddy, Mawmaw, Daughter and Granddaughter all enjoyed our weekend. We had all the amenities of home and fun shopping. We were in country but that is where we are from so we loved it.

Wonderful spot, accommodations and host

Our stay was very nice and a good location in between Brenham and Round Top. The host was very responsive when I asked questions. The only negative was the water - I don't know what made it smell so bad, but it was pretty rough. Would not recommend for those with sensitive noses especially.

Needs a lot of work

While the property was well located for our needs, it is not up to the usual VRBO standards. First, the furnishings were a hodge podge of old flea market type pieces, but not in a charming way. The ONLY television was at least 30 years old (an old box tv) and we were never able to get the Direct TV to work, despite the property manager coming in person to help. The yard is overgrown with weeds and has actual vines growing on the side of the house. There is no outdoor area to sit and enjoy the weather. Even worse, there was an old vehicle and a travel trailer (plugged in) adjacent to the house which was creepy to say the least. The only positives; beds were comfy and sheets and towels clean. The property manager was very responsive to the tv issue and apologized for the condition of the property. She really did her best.

To address this, we are upgrading the TV to a modern flat-screen and ensuring our landscaper tends to the winter-related overgrowth. -The farmhouse boasts an eclectic collection of antiques gathered over the years from various antique festivals. Additionally, the RV and car on-site belong to the property owner, and our property manager proactively notified guests in advance about their presence and ownership.-We're delighted that you found comfort in our farmhouse, particularly in the cozy bedding and clean towels. Upholding comfort and cleanliness in a rustic setting is our priority. In addition, we plan to enhance the outdoor experience by adding outdoor furniture for our guests' enjoyment.Thank you for your valuable feedback; it assists us in continually improving our guests' experiences. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests as evidenced in all other reviews.

Peace and Quiet

This is the perfect private, quiet, peaceful getaway for anyone needing to get away from the world's noise. Owners were quick to respond when I locked myself out, reassuring and calm. Gary, my guardian angel was there in 10 minutes to unlock the door. I will be visiting Kalina's Kottage again and again for those "no noise" weekends we all need!!

Great Quiet House -- perfect for Girls weekend

Great House, very quiet and secluded...the only draw back was dealing with Evolve, as I had to change my reservation dates and it was difficult contacting a real person -- got a lot of canned emails. I put this for awareness -- nothing against the property-- it was lovely and we will be booking again!

Girls Weekend

The house was a great place to stay, comfy beds and nice kitchen. Pond was not truly visible from the back yard, high grassy area. The swings on the tree were old and moss growing on the rope. But overall the experience was nice and we would rent it for the weekend again.

A peaceful retreat in the country

This mid-century cottage is nicely furnished with period pieces. It is clean and comfy and the towels and bedding are of good quality, The tableware is quite adequate, but baking pans and other supplies are rather limited. It's located in the "middle of nowhere" and surrounded by farms, ranches, and wildlife. The nearest towns are quite interesting and reminiscent of another time.
