FREE PARKING - Monthly rentals possible. Contact owner for special 30+ day quotes. This pristine property is located 15 minutes from the quaint Barra de Navidad fishing village and 20 minutes from the Manzanillo airport.
The 3 bedroom apartment has all the conveniences of home and overlooks a beautiful pool and ocean views of Coco Beach in the Playa Grande luxury resort.

The Playa Grande Resort is a 60 unit development on Coco Beach which offers high-end furnished apartments. The spacious 180 M2 (1800 sq ft) apartment is located on the third and last PENTHOUSE floor. Within minutes you can visit local beaches and towns and, in particular, the famous Barra de Navidad fishing village and the Grand Bay resort with its golf courses and Marina. The resort includes two tennis courts and barbecues are available around the grounds and in the roof-top Palapas. Because of the strong ocean currents which are often characteristic of Coco Beach, there are three cascading swimming pools covering 1/3 of an acre as a safe alternative for families with children. There is a pool bar right below a water fountain where guests can order fresh drinks, coffee and casual dining (Open from November - April). Internet access is free within the apartment and a Fitness Center and small grocery store are in the condo development near the main lobby.

This is a security development with a guard at main entrance. There is plenty of parking on site. The host is not living in Mexico, but the resort staff is friendly and helpful. This is a quiet, safe and very authentic part of Mexico in the region of Jalisco. It is recommended that guests rent a car at the airport or online before arriving. Taxi service can also be used and quite convenient as well as reserving personal drivers for your stay. The front desk is not staffed all year, as this is not a resort/hotel with guest or valet services. The keys to our unit E33 will be provided to you upon arrival. For this reason you must let the host know when, approximately, you plan to arrive. If you arrive very late, you will pick up the keys at the guard gate in front.
Check in should be before 5:30pm, however, let the host know if you are arriving later.
The apartment is fully furnished and equipped with starter soap and shampoo kits and bath and beach towels. There is a washing machine and dryer and ironing board for your use, but please buy laundry detergent, coffee and your basic supplies and groceries before arriving or at the small store available in the resort and open during the months of November to April .

Beautiful complex

We spent 5 weeks at this beautiful property. The condo is a nice large condo with a lovely balcony complete with table and chairs and 2 loungers. We were very comfortable in the condo. The owner is very good with communication and helping you in any way. The condo complex is beautiful with immaculate grounds, excellent hard working staff. Tania at the front desk is so helpful with anything you need and speaks perfect English. The convenience store is awesome with well stocked grocery and liquor items. If there is something you need that they don’t have, they will order it for you and you will have it the next day! Benny’s pool bar is a great place. Benny and his staff are excellent and make your pool days fun. Good drinks and good food! There are many grills on the property that are all cleaned daily. The pools are amazing. You can’t swim in the ocean here as the waves are huge but ,you can sit and watch them roll in for hours as they are fascinating to see. Saw lots of whales going by. There is a turtle sanctuary on the property and it is a fun experience to release the baby turtles into the ocean. They also offer aqua size classes three times a week with the fees you pay going towards the turtle sanctuary. There is also yoga twice a week. Both of these instructors are excellent! They also have two very well kept pickle ball courts. The complex is kind of in the middle of nowhere so a car would be nice to have, however, is is very easy to get a taxi at very reasonable rates. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return if given the opportunity.

Beautiful well kept complex!

The condo is huge and well laid out and a very fair price. The place is a bit in the middle of nowhere so you need a car. That being said if you don’t tend to explore then you will be very comfortable here. The small store on the property is the well stocked with fair prices. They have many grills throughout the property and they are cleaned daily. You will be very impressed by how well the entire place is kept. Everyone if friendly! There is a small pool bar that has a great staff. They really make your day at the pool fun. And the food is good too. They have daily specials and happy hour from three to six! The pools are amazing! One end starts out very shallow so all ages can enjoy the water. It gradually gets deeper. It’s reall one infinity pool but has dividers making it four pools. I walked the beach an hour every day and had it all to myself most days. It is huge! The waves are fantastic and got bigger as the winter came. You can’t swim in them but they fascinate you. You can sit and watch them forever. There is a turtle sanctuary on the beach that the complex supports. If you are lucky you will be able to help them release the baby turtles into the ocean. The unit is well stocked. We only cooked six times and ate breakfast there. You are supplied with fresh water. After the first jug is gone you can get a refill downstairs for pennies. We did have a few issues with things in the condo but you just have to report it to the front desk and a repair person will arrive to fix it. We also reported things to the owner, who replied quickly back. Our tv was blurry and the connectors were corroded. We told her and she is getting the tv replaced. I also told her a lounge chair for the balcony would be nice, so hopefully she will get one for the unit. They could also use a good frying pan. I forgot to tell her that. There are a couple there that will do but I don’t think they will last much longer. There are only three cons that I can think of. One is the wifi is not strong enough for everyone in the complex to use at the same time. You will have to find a time good for you when others aren’t using it. The other is that it really is a one shower condo and one bathtub condo. Again not a big deal unless several people want to shower at once. The bathroom with the tub also has a sewer smell that comes and goes. I could live with it but a couple of others couldn’t stand it. We loved our stay and would definitely return again.

Why they chose this property

Excellent resort for a quiet get away alone or with friends and family. Playa Grande is far from the hustle and bustle and noise of the cities. If you want more activity, restaurants, shops and music and water sports, and golf are minutes to either Barra de Navidad, or the Grand Bay Hotel and resort and its facilities; spa, hair dressers, massage etc. The Playa Grande resort has tennis courts for our guests and pickleball. Depending on the season, there are also acqua gym classes in the pool.

What makes this property unique

The region is fairly quiet and the advantage of Playa Grande is that it is managed as a small community. It offers maintenance and housekeeping services, with a pool bar open in high season and a small grocery shop on site. As a guest, you can be private and relax, or, you can meet other guests at the pool and be more social with friendly people who often are owners and / or frequent and annual guests.
