This cozy cabin was a small retreat to us for family day weekend. Not your typical Oxford stay, but we didn’t mind getting a few miles down the road for the peace and quiet. This artsy, country spot in the woods holds a little piece of Missisippi history, with an ode to our Native American roots. Everything was clean and after trying hotels and condos near the square, this was truly a fun, interesting place to stay. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend, to include premium coffee and modern laundry appliances, which I appreciate. It was comfortable for us and our two teens that were in and out all weekend.

Liked: Communication
Disliked: Cleanliness
First the pros: the property owner was good with communication & very flexible and honored a request that we made, which was very accommodating & kind of them. However, it should be disclosed that the owner’s belongings & clothes are in the cabin as well as food in the fridge & freezer. Also, the shower wasn’t clean and I had to wash it out due to sludge floating in the tub when showering, which wasn’t pleasant. It felt like a safe place though & was definitely quiet. If it’s going to be a full fledged rental I’d say it needs some care & clearing of personal items. We also have a rental but know that renters don’t want our stuff in the space also.
