The space
Our cabin is hidden in a serene location. If you like a little adventure, you'll love the treasure hunt of finding our off-grid cabin in the woods, yet just 15 minutes from Courthouse Square.
80 years ago a placer mining operation worked the creek alongside this beautiful cabin. This modest mine was small in size and surrounded by 1.25 millions beautiful acres of Prescott National Forest and its majestic ponderosa pines. Shortly after the miners left, our cabin “The Gold Digger” was built. This home is now one of only a few, deep in the forest, close the Lynx Lake, and surrounded by 1.25 million acres of protected Prescott National Forest. A dream for visitors who love privacy and remoteness without giving up the comforts and convenience of a short drive to Arizonian’s favorite small town, Prescott.

*SEASONAL* CREEK

FAQs...
EARLY CHECK-IN OPTIONS
We are at the mercy of the calendar! The only way to guarantee early check-in is by booking the night before. If you want to take a gamble, you can wait until 24 hours before check-in to see if our schedule allows it. If a guest is checking out the day of your arrival or if we have scheduled maintenance, early check-in isn't possible.
LATE CHECKOUT
Not Likely. Just as we did for your arrival, we must prepare again for the next guest. If your flight leaves late in the day, consider booking an additional night so you can leave at your leisure.
PETS
Your furry friends need a vacation too! We happily host well-behaved, house-trained dogs (max 2 per stay). Fee of $25 per dog, per night.
LUGGAGE DROP OFF
Our team needs this time to prepare the home uninterrupted. Upon booking, we can offer recommendations of where to leave your luggage while you wait.
Can I book on behalf of a friend, family member, or co-worker?
No. Third party bookings are prohibited. Please have the person who is staying book themselves.
Is there a grocery store nearby?
Yes! On the way in from Phoenix we recommend stoping at Mortimer Farms to pick up some farm fresh options! The other options are also nearby:
- Costco: 8 minutes
- Trader Joes: 9 minutes
- Sprouts: 12 minutes
Are there hiking/biking trails nearby?
Yes! Lynx Lake Recreation has a few options for hiking/biking trails and exploring the lake.
Do I need to bring firewood for the fireplace and fire pit?
No! We have it ready for you. Please follow Yavapai County's daily fire restriction rules should they apply during your stay.
