The 2nd Floor apartment is well appointed, with a large air-conditioned bedroom featuring king size bed, walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with tub/shower. A spacious sitting and dining area is complemented by a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and a generous balcony for al fresco dining. High Speed Wifi and basic cable tv included.
The complex has a permanently staffed reception desk and 24 hour security. It is located in historic Holetown, a short walk to beautiful west coast beaches and a wide range of restaurants and bars as well as a modern supermarket and the upscale Limegrove Shopping Centre. A 24 hour Medical Centre is a block away.
Golden View is 45 minutes from the airport, and close to Highway 1, the coast road which is well served by public transport.

Great little condo in the Holetown area. Owner met us the the property and got us aquinted with the area. If we get the opportunity to return, we would consider staying at this property again.

Communication before, during and after our stay with the owner, Teresa, was great. She met us at the apartment on the day of arrival to show us around and answer any questions we had. Additionally, she kindly provided us with a mini food shop to ensure we didn't go hungry or thirsty and any point before we got a chance to go to the local supermarket. She even provided a bottle of prosecco, due to the trip being booked for my birthday, which was a lovely surprise :-)The apartment is very clean and has everything you could need during your stay. The bed is huge and comfortable and there is a mix of outside seating on the balcony, so you can eat and also relax in the sun. The grounds are well kept and manicured and the pool is a very decent 25m.The apartment is only 5 minutes walk from the beach, local bars and restaurants, as well as the supermarket and main bus route. We would definately stay at the accommodation again

This is a great place. The bed is comfortable and the owner met me onsite and showed me around. I liked having a bathtub too. It is also a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants and a supermarket nearby.
Quiet, lovely balcony setting and grounds. Short walk to beach although the road is a bit dangerous. You really need a car unless you want to be confined to this small area as bus travel to anywhere other than the coast is difficult. Either bring your own beach chair or plan to rent a lounger as chair available is not really a beach chair.
The owners communication from start to finish was brilliant. She met us at the apartment and showed us where everything was and provided a good amount of food and homemade banana cake. Golden View has mostly older residents and owners staying there so the pool and gardens are pristine. Plenty of sunbeds and very peaceful just five minutes walk to Masseys supermarket, the beach, restaurants and Sandy Lane estate. We will definitely be back ( if we can get in!). Tranquil, peaceful and perfectly located
Goldenview is NOT for the young and active, and NOT for families, but for people of middle age or older seeking a lovely quiet vacation this is just perfect. All balconies look out over the large gardens which are beautifully groomed, and the good sized pool which has loads of sunbeds and chairs, always available even in high season. The garden has plenty of shade under palm trees. Location is perfect for foodies, with all the restaurants and bars of Holetown within a safe 10 minute walk, and many others only a short drive or bus ride away. Shopping is easy in the large local supermarket. We hired a car and explored every corner of this beautiful and varied island, as Holetown is centrally placed so that nowhere on the island is more than an hour's drive away. The east coast is stunningly beautiful, with so many little deserted beaches and coves to discover where tourists rarely go.
Appartment 226 is extremely clean, well furnished and well equipped. A huge comfortable bed, decent quality chairs and everything you need in the kitchen. Teresa the owner goes the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay, always available but never intrusive. Be warned we have been told that the quality and cleanliness of apartments does vary, so if you can't get 226 then be sure to read reviews.
We have stayed on lots of Caribbean islands over many years and can honestly say this has been the best all round experience ever (even in spite of very mixed weather!) Very highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Well run and clean condo complex with a relaxing pool out back.Only about a 10 minute walk into town and accross the street from salters road, which is a nice place to walk/run through to Sandy Lane golf course.Communication was great all throughout and would happily return.

This apartment has a home away from home feel to it, lots of storage and is in a great location, walking distance to beaches, restaurants and supermarket. The owner, Teresa is warm, friendly and helpful and also very generous leaving lots of goodies so we did not have to rush off to the supermarket on arrival. The property is quiet and relaxing with a large communal pool. We highly recommend the apartment and will certainly return.
This is a great value on the West Coast. Know that the property itself is quite dated and the reception area and halls reflect that. But the apartment itself is a gem. Perfect for one person or a couple. Lots of storage space; comfortable bed; kitchen has everything you might need. Great balcony overlooking the garden. I didn’t use the pool; drove to nearby beaches which are some of the best on the island. Communication with Teresa the owner was great and she generously stocked the fridge with welcome goodies. I had a wonderful stay at this property. The owner has thought of everything one would need to live in the area. She was easy to get a hold of. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning and ceiling fan in bedroom made for an awesome night’s sleep.
I was born in Barbados where the Marshall family have lived for at least 8 or 9 generations. I went to University in the UK on a scholarship and did further foreign service training in Australia.
I am a retired career diplomat, having spent my entire working life in the Barbados Foreign Service. I represented my country overseas in Washington, Ottawa, the United Nations in New York and in Caracas, where I served as Ambassador. I retired in 2010 after serving for several years in the post of Permanent Secretary and Head of the Foreign Service of Barbados. After a fascinating but exhausting 24/7 career I am happy to step of the treadmill and enjoy my retirement in a beautiful country which I am lucky enough to call mine.
Why they chose this property
I live only about 10 minutes from the Sunset Crest development, and first became interested in Golden View when my sister and her husband purchased a unit and I helped to look after it on the occasions they were out of the island. I got to see for myself how well-maintained this unpretentious property is and how friendly and helpful the staff are. There is quite a community of repeat visitors, especially in the winter time, giving the place almost a family feel. so I decided to make an investment in a unit myself about 6 months ago. I did some major refurbishment and listed the property with Home Away in October 2017. I have been very pleased with the response thus far.

Golden View is a beautiful location, a convenient base on the West, or Gold Coast. but not at West Coast prices. You can walk to all the amenities: beach, supermarket, shops, restaurants, cinemas, and enjoy a safe and welcoming environment at an affordable price.
