Perfectly situated on the east end of Destin (Miramar Beach) the Frangista Beach community is the perfect location for your next visit to Destin. With Miles of Sugar white sand and crystal clear water, beach side living simply doesn’t get any better. The beach front area in this community is nice and wide so you will not have any trouble find your spot to hunker down on the beach. You can also reserve your spot each morning through the Frangista Beach service vendor (La Dolce Vita) These aren’t your typical chair and umbrella beach boys, the guys at La Dolce Vita can assist with all of your beach sports needs including but not limited to; bike rentals, jet skis, parasailing, surf board rental, boogie boards, snorkeling, beach going wheel chairs and even a floating adventure park! If you grow tired of the surf and sand take a dip in the Frangista Beach community pool located in the center of the neighborhood on Los Angeles Street.

When the water sports and outdoor activities wear you out head on over to the Silver Sands premium outlet mall where you will find 120 designer outlets and 10 restaurant options (just 2 minutes from the heart of Frangista Beach!) In addition to the restaurants found at the outlet mall you will find countless dining and shopping options within a 10 mile radius of your community including two beach front options within walking distance (the Whales Tail and Pompano Joes) If you are looking for a bit of nightlife head on over to the village at Baytowne Wharf; here you will find numerous night spots, upscale dining, zip lines and activities for the kids and fireworks all summer long! On the Beach / Perfect Location

Home was in a perfect location and walking distance to great food, coffee and smoothies (Badass Coffee & Pascalli Kitchen). We would definitely stay here again. The communication with the management company, Ocean Reef, was top notch. The only negative would be people obviously bring pets not potty trained or do not care where their pet goes to the bathroom which is frustrating for visitors that do care and control their animals, so the carpets do have a smell to them. Otherwise everything was clean.

Beautiful home in need of updates

Location, check-in/check-out, communication were all great. Views and beach, fantastic. The house itself is a beautiful home but needs some major updates! Definite dampness and pet odors. Kitchen was lacking in even some basics. No pot holders, can opener that didn't work, coffee mugs that were cracked and chipped, to name a few. The biggest issue was anything upholstered. Couch was tired and dirty. The throw pillows and upholstered chairs were old and soiled! We enjoyed the stay regardless but it's sad to see such a beautiful home that way. It could be stunning with a little attention.

Stay away from this unit

In need of deep cleaning, spa does not work, pool is off property and not heated. Beware the master bedroom as well as the second bedroom are on the top floor. Therefore, you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs with your luggage. There is an elevator, but they do not allow tenants to use that elevator. The kitchen is on the second level therefore, you have to carry up your food to the second level.

Relaxation Accomplished

We chose PetSand for the beach front access and view and this one did not disappoint. We had three levels of balconies and of course you could walk right onto the beach. Nothing better than having your very own retreat for relaxation for a week away, which was very much needed. Overall the home was clean and just as the photos presented. There is some wear and tear on the home but to be expected considering it's a rental property. The only complaint our group had was the getting in and out of the driveway on the road as it was very busy and not much space but that was to be expected considering it's location. the beds were nice, all slept very well, was a little hot on the third floor however. We definitely will come back to this rental and would recommend it as the little inconvenience was not enough to deter us.

Good vacation for fall break

Great floor plan. Pet friendly. Directly overlooks beach. Convenient location for shopping and restaurants . Nice TVs. Large pantry. Now for the downside. Shabby. Not chic. Needs inside painting. Poorly cleaned. Light bulbs out. Furniture in living room and porches needs cleaning or replacing. Not comfortable. Bathrooms need towel hooks ,drain covers, and better cleaning. Kitchen lacks cookware, wine glasses, and sufficient linens. Pool needs new water added daily. Everything shows wear and tear. OK place to stay but expected better for the money. Would be happy to discuss further if requested.

Check in was simple and we liked that. The garage didn’t work to store our car. That wasn’t a good thing. The back door on the first floor would barely open. That’s the door to get access to the beach and “hot tub” . The hot tub was empty when we got there and we had to request it to be filled. It was not hot at all. It was cold water. The dishes inside the cabinets were dirty and had old crusty food on them. The sheets in the main master had weird stains on them that looked like dried blood. The worst part of all was that my youngest son developed a skin rash from the sheets on the bed he slept on . I’d like the property manager to contact me about a partial refund.

It was a great location but smelled like dog pee.

The house was a great home. It had a great location. The pictures represented it well. But we could not sit on the couch cause it smelled so bad like pet pee and the bedroom on the middle level was the same. If it did not have this issue it would have been perfect. So if you go there bring blankets to sit on.. I washed the quilt in the bedroom and that helped. We went and bought sheets and blankets to sit on the couch. The light bulbs where out and the dishwasher was broke. But they quickly sent someone to fix that..

Annual Family Vacation

Petsand is a three story condo, so our fault for not reading the listing more accurately. The elevator was not accessible so it was tiring for the grandparents to have to climb two stories to their room. We also did not know the main highway is only 12 feet from the front door so the noise level was incredibly loud from cars and motorcycles. Here are some suggestions: Cushions on all three verandas should be replaced with new. Kitchen chairs are incredibly uncomfortable (woven) so cushions could be added there as well. We would recommend replacing the first floor sofa bed with a full size bed as this was also extremely uncomfortable. All baths need the addition of towel bars - there's only one in the master which is ridiculous. Study wall hooks in the entry areas would be great for beach towels, beach bags, etc. Front door lock is very loose; should be looked at.

We arrived on Saturday. No TV’s working. Maintenance guy from a Ocean Reef was very good and diligent. Stayed late into the night. Could not fix. He went to Best Buy and bought a Fire Stick to get us thru the weekend. No football. Ridiculous stations from Fire Stick. Worthless. Came back Monday. Got one TV working with cable. Moved Firestick to the master bedroom. We had to accept that. Numerous light bulbs in the unit were burned out out. No bulbs to replace which I would have not done anyway. Not my job. Some electrical outlets did not work. Told Ocean Reef on a Monday that we expected a discount for days without TV. Nobody ever called us back. Unit basically clean but worn out. For the money we paid for this condo we expected much, much, much more. The unit needs to be updated badly. And, in my opinion Ocean Reef is not doing a good job managing it. I’ve been going to Destin for 50 years, but I will not go back to Frangista Beach area, and I will not use a Ocean Reef again.
