About this property
Bonnie Wine Bungalow - walk to Whitman College!
Guest favorite - under new, local management!
Unwind with a glass of wine in our beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom/1 bath 1900’s charming bungalow house, which accommodates up to 4 guests. Cook to your heart’s desire in a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy dinner in the dining room, a cup of coffee in the breakfast nook, watch a movie, or read a book in the spacious living room. Relax in the tranquil back yard on the private back patio and garden & wind down at night under the stars with a backyard campfire (note: fire pit available seasonally; not available during no-burn season). This home feels like an oasis & was remodeled with sustainability in mind: from reuse of historic materials during the remodel; to the environmentally-rated kitchen appliances; sustainable paper products & soft & comfortable bamboo sheets on the bed. A lot of love and energy went into making it a magical place to call home. Take the time to slow down, enjoy small town charm and taste a glass of spectacular Washington wine.

Why they chose this property
We love the walkability to the downtown area, where the action happens and & guests can find great restaurants, boutique shops, coffee shops, and wine & beer tasting rooms. In the summer there are many (free!) outdoor music events! On the weekends in the Winter, various wine tasting rooms host local bands and musicians. Check out a play or event at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla, also walking distance from the home.
Walla Walla Regional Airport is just under 3 miles away, which makes traveling in and out of the area easy and convenient!
Don’t miss the Saturday Farmers Market downtown. Here you will find local produce like mushrooms (lion's mane are our favorite), asparagus, strawberries and of course the famous Walla Walla Sweet Onions!
Whitman College campus is a beautiful place for a walk with many walking paths and towering trees and sculptures. A short drive takes you to numerous Walla Walla vineyards in areas of The Southside, The Rocks District, Airport District and Westside tasting rooms.
You like to golf? There are a few public golf courses within 30 miles of the home (Wine Valley Golf Club; Veteran's Memorial Golf Course; Milton-Freewater Municipal Golf Course) & Oregon's Wildhorse Golf Course, is approximately 45 miles away in Pendleton.
Is pickleball your pleasure? Walla Walla City Parks host numerous outdoor courts at Pioneer Park, and Mill Creek Sports Complex.
Just outside of town are lots of open gravel roads for cycling and in town a fun historic downtown, parks, and neighborhoods to roam. Further afield (1hr) is the Umatilla National Forest and some great day hikes, wildlife, and beautiful scenery.
