SPACE TO GATHER + ROOM TO SPREAD OUT

One of the best parts of this home is the balance of shared family spaces and private places to unwind. The top floor brings everyone together with an open kitchen, dining area and great room beneath vaulted ceilings, while bedrooms are spread across all three levels.

Whether you’re cooking dinner together, challenging someone to a game of pool, soaking in the hot tub, relaxing by the pool or enjoying a quiet cup of coffee on the deck, there’s space to settle into vacation mode.

FLOOR BY FLOOR

Level 3 – Ocean Views + Main Living

The top floor is the heart of the home. An open, fully stocked kitchen flows into the dining area and spacious great room with vaulted ceilings, making it easy for everyone to gather without feeling crowded.

This level also features a king primary suite with a private bath and deck access. Step outside onto the east- or west-facing decks to enjoy ocean views, coastal breezes and beautiful Carova sunsets.

A half bath is conveniently located on the landing as you head downstairs.

Level 2 – Three Bedrooms + Main Entry

Enter the home from the front porch into the second level, where you’ll find three additional bedrooms:

• King primary suite with private bathroom
• Queen bedroom
• Bunk room with five beds

The queen bedroom and bunk room share a full bathroom off the hallway. The home’s laundry area is also located on this level.

Level 1 – Game Room + Pool Access

The lower level is made for fun and easy access to the outdoor spaces.

A fifth bedroom features two queen beds and a full bathroom accessible from both the bedroom and game room.

The game room includes a 6’ pool table, shuffleboard and additional games - perfect for evenings, rainy days or a little friendly family competition.

From this level, step directly outside to the private pool, hot tub and outdoor areas.

PRIVATE POOL + HOT TUB

After a morning at the beach, come home and spend the afternoon around your own private saltwater pool. The pool is open seasonally from May through September; pool heat is not available.

The hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun, and the outdoor shower makes rinsing off after the beach easy.

A gas grill is available for cookouts, and guests can also enjoy a sea kayak, beach chairs and assorted beach gear during their stay.

THE CAROVA 4x4 BEACH EXPERIENCE

Getting here is part of what makes a Carova vacation so memorable.

There are no paved roads leading to the home. After reaching the end of NC Highway 12 in Corolla, you’ll drive approximately 9 miles north on the beach and sand roads to reach the property.

A properly equipped 4WD vehicle is required.

2WD and standard AWD vehicles are not appropriate for Carova’s beach and sand-road conditions and may become stuck, potentially resulting in towing charges. Tire pressure will need to be lowered before driving onto the beach.

If someone in your group won’t have a 4WD vehicle, we’re happy to share nearby paved parking options so your group can ride out together.

Once you’ve arrived, you’re rewarded with a quieter side of the Outer Banks—wide beaches, beautiful scenery, fewer crowds and an experience that’s completely different from a traditional beach neighborhood.

THE COROLLA WILD HORSES

You may have some unexpected neighbors during your stay!

The famous Corolla wild horses roam freely throughout Carova and are frequently seen along the beach, beside the sand roads and around the neighborhood. Spotting them from the deck or while heading to the beach can become one of the most memorable parts of your vacation.

The horses are wild and protected. Guests must remain at least 50 feet away and should never approach, touch or feed them.

LOCATION + GETTING AROUND

Carova Beach is located in the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina, beyond the paved portion of Corolla.

Once at the house, plan for approximately a 30-minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and other Corolla attractions. Many guests stock up before driving onto the 4x4 beach and then settle in for a true beach getaway.

Norfolk International Airport in Virginia is the closest major airport, approximately 108 miles away by car.

IMPORTANT MAP NOTE: Online maps can make the property appear to be only a few miles from the Virginia border. There is no vehicle access to Carova from Virginia. The home must be accessed from the south via NC Highway 12 through Duck and Corolla, followed by the drive north on the 4x4 beach.

BRING YOUR DOGS

Vacation is better when the dogs can come too. Up to two dogs are welcome with a $250 pet fee.

Carova’s wide-open setting and beach atmosphere make it a wonderful place to enjoy the Outer Banks with your four-legged family members.

WI-FI + TECHNOLOGY

Wi-Fi is available throughout all three levels of the home.

Smart TVs are located in the great room, third-floor king suite and first-floor game room. A Bluetooth speaker is also provided in the third-floor great room.

Reliable cell service is generally available in the area via the nearby cell tower at the Carova Fire Station.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

Maximum occupancy is 12 registered guests.

The primary booking guest must be 30 years of age or older, remain at the property for the duration of the reservation, and provide a valid ID if requested.

Because this is a 4x4-access property, we strongly encourage everyone in your group to review the beach-driving requirements before booking and make transportation plans in advance.
