About this property
Cozy Haven - Little Lakefront Home
Plan your next getaway to Cozy Haven, a peaceful one-bedroom guest house with a lovely lake view. This small yet inviting cottage includes a sizable attached deck with gas grill, a spacious and secluded yard complete with pergola, swings, and fire pit, and its own private dock with kayaks provided. Thoughtfully situated within the natural curve of the shoreline, the cottage faces away from the main house and into the quiet cove of the lake to provide seclusion and privacy.
Inside Cozy Haven you’ll find a compact but well-appointed kitchen, living room with full-size pullout couch, roomy bedroom overlooking the lake with king bed and large closet, and bathroom with small shower stall. Wifi will keep you connected, and the fully stocked coffee area provides all the morning coffee essentials. The convertible kitchen island includes two hidden stools to double as counter space during meal prep and dining space during meals. The kitchen includes a microwave, oven, toaster, and refrigerator, and plenty of pots, pans and baking dishes for meal prep. Or, use the gas grill on the back deck to make mealtime easy.
While the interior has all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay, the outdoor spaces will make your visit unforgettable. The attached deck overlooking the lake is accessible through a sliding door in the bedroom or via stairs alongside the cottage and is the perfect place to grill, dine al fresco, lounge, or take in the lakefront views. Only steps away from the deck is the cottage’s private dock: perfect for fishing, boating, or just relaxing by the water. Explore the serene waters of the lake with the kayaks provided: covering 1700 acres, Little Lake is perfect for a quick paddle or longer afternoon adventure. For a more laid-back pastime, unwind with a good book or enjoy the shade in the pergola swings. The expansive yard is perfect for outdoor activities—ideal for games, picnics, or just enjoying the peaceful outdoors. Last but not least, every lakeside vacation must include nights around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, stargazing, or getting warm by the fire’s blaze.
Just 5 miles from Gwinn and 24 miles from Marquette, shopping and sightseeing are within easy reach. The house’s central U.P. location is a perfect launching point for day trips to Pictured Rocks, Fayette Historic State Park, Kitch-iti-kipi, and the shopping, dining, iconic Ore Docks, and iron industry history in the Marquette area. If the only thing on your vacation agenda is tranquil days by the lake, a quick 5 minute drive into Gwinn will allow you to pick up groceries, pizzeria pizza, and ice cream after dinner. For those seeking outdoor adventure, 12 miles away is the Anderson Lake Pathway, which provides a variety of terrains for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing, or pack your golf clubs and enjoy 18 holes at Red Fox Run Golf Course only 6 miles away.
Looking to accommodate more guests? In addition to Cozy Haven, the Haven Point main house is also available to rent. Located on the same property and separated by a privacy fence, Haven Point is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow with 5 beds. Haven Point has its own private yard and private dock on the opposite side of the property from Cozy Haven: when rented separately, the yards and docks are not shared. The two houses can be booked together here (coming soon!).
Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or a quiet space to unwind, Cozy Haven combines comfort with the natural beauty of lakeside living, making it the perfect spot to recharge and enjoy everything a lakeside retreat can offer.
