About this property
Haven Point Lakefront Bungalow
Escape to this charming bungalow-style lakefront retreat nestled on the peaceful shores of Little Lake. Perfect for a relaxing getaway, this comfortable 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom home offers wraparound views of the water with a backdrop of Little Lake’s forested island. Enjoy the best of lakeside living on the expansive private deck including built-in bar seating, ideal for morning coffee, sunset views, or relaxing in the shade while the kids play on the lake.
Haven Point’s comfortable interior and expansive outdoor offerings provide abundant opportunities for both relaxation and entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, large refrigerator, and ample counter and cabinet space for meal prep. The gas grill makes cooking easy and the laundry room offers added convenience for longer stays. The living room features a central gas fireplace to warm the house on cool U.P. evenings and an overstuffed couch and recliner to sink back into for watching movies. In winter, guests can get cozy by the fire while watching snow fall over the lake, and when temperatures rise outside, the central air conditioning keeps the house cool. The house is encircled by an enormous yard, offering abundant space for outdoor activities and games. The large private dock is perfect for sunbathing or launching one of the available kayaks: covering 1700 acres, Little Lake is perfect for a quick paddle or longer afternoon adventure. In the evening, gather around the enormous fire pit to roast marshmallows under the stars, or unwind on the pergola swings as you listen to the waves lap at the shore.
Just 5 miles from Gwinn and 24 miles from Marquette, shopping and sightseeing are within easy reach. The house’s central U.P. location is a perfect launching point for day trips to Pictured Rocks, Fayette Historic State Park, Kitch-iti-kipi, and the shopping, dining, iconic ore docks, and iron industry history in the Marquette area. If the only thing on your vacation agenda is tranquil days by the lake, a quick 5 minute drive into Gwinn will allow you to pick up groceries, pizzeria pizza, and ice cream cones. For those seeking outdoor adventure, 12 miles away is the Anderson Lake Pathway, which provides a variety of terrains for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing, or pack your golf clubs and enjoy 18 holes at Red Fox Run Golf Course only 6 miles away.
Looking to accommodate more guests? In addition to Haven Point, the Cozy Haven guest house is also available to rent.
