About this property

Quiet and Convenient

4 bedroom split level house in subdivision on cul-de-sac. Lots of room: 4 bedrooms, eat-in kitchen, living room, dining room, sun room, family room, large private backyard, car port. We are minutes from beautiful historic Stone Mountain Park and 20 minutes away from highways I-20 & I-285. Our place is perfect for couples, families, business travelers, and those seeking a quiet retreat that is close to shopping, culture, and nightlife of downtown Atlanta. Off street parking is available in our covered carport and driveway. Guests have full use of the entire house, driveway, and fenced backyard. There are four bedrooms with comfortable, private accommodations for eight people. A sofabed is available in the den for additional guests. Kitchen is equipped with toaster, coffee maker, microwave, oven, stovetop, and dishwasher. Plates, cups, cutlery, and cooking pans are available for our guests' use. WiFi is available for guest use.

Excellent place

We had a large group. Everyone had their own rooms and we didn’t feel on top of each other. Back yard deck and chairs were very peaceful. Neighborhood is clean and very quiet! Paul the host is wonderful and always answered the phone when needed. Hope to come back

Pros: • house is roomy large enough for 10 individuals and clean for most part • Check in was easy once I understood what to do, no fault of the owner instruction was clear just didn't read correctly. Cons: • Roaches, Roaches even in the refrigerator, we did not cook because of the roaches too many • Only two TV's in entire house 19 in flat screen in upstairs small bedroom and 1990 floor model which color was off could not see good picture • Craftsmanship/repair of home was not that good. But doable if only need a place to stay. • two bathroom (1) in master bedroom and (2) down in bottom level (3 level home) • Neighborhood not bad, however, house are not well kept. • No front pouch light, really need one in dark.

Clean House, Lots of Space, Very Private

Paul was a great host. Check-in was super easy. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Everybody enjoyed how much space and privacy they had. The kitchen exceeded our expectations. We used the coffee maker in mornings and the blender every evening. Lots of local eateries are nearby. This is a great place. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in town.

Very Quiet and Peaceful

This was the perfect stay. It definitely exceeded our expectations. None of us had to share a room and we had plenty of outdoor space. We needed a nice quiet place near to Stone Mountain Park and we found it. It is also conveniently located close to restaurants and shopping. The booking process was easy, the place was clean, and Paul, the owner was wonderful. He communicated throughout our stay and ensured we were comfortable. We will definitely book again for a long weekend. Paul, thank you for the hospitality.

The most Disgusting and unsafe place I have stayed in since using HomeAway for Years.

First of all I would like to say that the many times I have rented property before with HomeAway and other vacation rental sites this is the first time I stay at a place that is in such bad condition. - Dirty - This place was disgusting from gunky doors and dirty floors to the pubic hair next to the half used shampoo bottles. Streaks coming down oven doors. Drops of some red substance. - Bad appearance - The place seems like it is the middle of a bad remodeling. There were paint splatters, unfinished moldings, sloppy plaster work, etc. The toilet and bathtub needs replacement not fixing. Knob missing from old oven. The sheets for the downstairs bed were from three different sets, colors, didn't fell good getting in bed. The furniture is all beat up. Outlets are old and worn, power adapters just fall off when plugged in. Paint peeling off badly painted doors. - Unsafe - There is a huge crack on the wall in basement that doesn't look good. There are loose staples on the stairs making it dangerous for the kids. The basement and the surrounding area of the heater and ducts seems very badly patched up and water outlets half done. Didn't see any carbon monoxide detectors. It's been 10 days since the rental and I still have not received my security deposit. I have more info and pictures that I would like to post, but this should be enough for a warning to other renters.

•Poor communication. •They look for something to complain about to get a discount. •Would not recommend hosting them. It is not our fault that the weather that weekend was unseasonable and he may not have enjoyed any outdoor activities at Snow Mountain that he said he had planned. We should not receive a bad review because (as he says) "His plans were all messed up". He arrived and he stayed for the two nights. Specifically - 1 - The home is not in bad condition. It is safe. Our pictures represent it well. 2 - There is no gunk on any doors. The floors were freshly mopped. There is no red substance on the oven door. The oven doors were just cleaned prior to him arriving. 3- There was no pubic hair on any shampoo bottle. He is no scientist. 4- No remodeling was happening. To say that is untrue. The toilet and the bathtub were fully operational. The oven has all of its knobs as are visible in our photos. 5- The decor in the home is like a home, not like a hospital with all white. The sheet patterns on the bed are at the owner’s choice. There is variety. It is comfortable and homely. Everyone comments about how comfortable the beds are at our home. In any event, all of the beds were used by him and his guests. 6- The outlets are safe and up to code. There is no peeling paint. The stairs do not have any staples on them. That is untrue. 7- The heating system was working and fully operational. He had no complaint about having heat and so it is unjust to falsely and alarmingly rate one's unprofessional view of the look of the heating system. 8- His security deposit is not with us. It is with Home Away. Guest had use and occupancy of the home. He stayed for the two nights.
