Newly renovated apt, 10 min from centre

This apartment is beside a private home in a good neighbourhood. Perfect for a couple, but can accommodate 4 adults.

The kitchen is full size and has everything you need to make a decent meal.
Living room and kitchen are in open space with a bunk bed and dining table that seats 4 people + high chair for a baby by request

Bedroom has queen sized bed (160 cm) and has en-suite bathroom with a shower. Notice that the only entrance to the bathroom is through the bedroom.
Bunk bed is above the living room, 160 cm comfortable mattress.

The apt is very well located with a bus stop with in 300m, 2 minute walking distance. The bus goes to the city centre and airport.
10 min driving to city centre and 40 min from the airport.
Grocery store open 24/7, restaurants, swimming pool, football arena, pharmacy and the beach is in 5 min walking distance

Anniversary Trip to Iceland

This was an excellent choice for a place to stay while visiting Iceland with my husband and daughter. It was in a great location, within a 10 to 15 minute drive to Reykjavik. There was also a cute little park with a lake about 5 minutes away where we were able to see the northern lights

Great updated property in good location

The property is a separate unit with a separate entrance. It has updated furnishing and appliances. The location is convenient - 10-15 min to the city centre by car. Very close to shopping at Kringlan or Costco. The host is very responsive with questions and helped us resolve a few minor issues very quickly.

Everything is up to par and as stated. The only obstacle we encountered was that my husband kept hitting his head on beam of the loft ( he is 5'11"). We had to hang some articles of clothing there to remind him of the low beam! Other than that the place was very comfortable and surprisingly spacious in the lounge, dining and kitchen area. The bedroom is small yet comfy and the bathroom pretty cramp.The location is very convenient to Reykjavik and there were many jogging and cycling paths in the neighborhood. the supermarket was also conveniently located less than 10 minutes away. Plus if you take a drive out ti the shoreline, there is a nice view of the Hallgrimskirkja church across the water and you can visit the President of Iceland's state home!Parking was really easy for our very large Toyota Land Cruiser.

This property is fantastic. The location is excellent, with the town, supermarket, and restaurants all within a 10-minute drive. The apartment is clean and incredibly charming. The kids had a bed located in a loft, which they absolutely adored. The kitchen is spacious enough to prepare meals before heading out to explore Iceland. The parking is conveniently located in front of the apartment. Additionally, the house is situated at the end of a dead-end street, providing extra convenience and privacy. I always like to see the exterior of a house, but unfortunately, there are no available pictures. I checked Google Maps, and the house appears white on the map; however, it is currently undergoing renovations, and the exterior is now black and brown. Therefore, the Google image is outdated.

Why they chose this property

Gardabaer is a high end town and only 10 minutes driving from Reykjavik city centre. The neighbourhood is safe and kid friendly.

What makes this property unique

We care about a good night sleep, thats why we have really good mattresses in both of the beds. The kitchen is full size and has all the equipment you need to cook a meal. We have washing machine , dryer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, microwave and a washing machine, because... you know.. you should not be doing your dishes on a vacation! The apartment is really cozy and has a good atmosphere. Free parking on the lot.
