Are you looking for a fun family vacation home with the surf and sand at your door step? Then this wonderful OCEANFRONT duplex is for you! This is an up/down duplex allowing for the preferred convenience of one level living, with this lower level unit having 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Rent this unit, or for the perfect large family gathering, combine this unit with our other upper unit, VRBO #473300 listing, for a total of 8 BEDROOMS.

There are five TVs, and high speed WiFi! The living room has a large flat screen TV with premium cable service and a DVD (Blu Ray) player. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV streaming Netflix. The kids and teenagers will enjoy the bunk/futon bedroom configuration, especially when they can retreat to their own room which also has a DVD (Blu Ray) player. Make sure you keep one of the two beautiful ocean front bedrooms for yourself.

This unit has a full length front deck with marsh views, and a full length oceanfront back deck, so you can enjoy all that Holden Beach has to offer. A boardwalk right from your back deck takes you over the dunes to the ocean’s edge. You can also relax in the open air ground level common area where you will find casual wicker furniture and a charcoal grill. ENJOY!

FABULOUS RENTAL

This is a fabulous unit - well located, beautiful upgrades and spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. Washer/Dryer handy. Kids loved the bunks. We loved it so much, we're staying here three weeks next summer. My daughter forgot her Kindle and the Owner mailed it to her - such nice people!!!!! We've been coming to Holden Beach for a while and we'll be staying here!

Clean Property, Great Location, Attentive Owner

Easily the cleanest property we've ever stayed at. The location is perfect and you can't really hear the people at the unit above. Everything worked as expected and was well-maintained. We had a situation where we got locked out because a lock lost it's ability to take the code, and the owner was immediately responsive via text and drove three hours that very day to install a new one. Would definitely recommend.

Can't Wait To Go Back!

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset. Check-in was easy, it looks just like the photos online, it was very clean, & has a million dollar view! Our bed was very comfortable, which isn't always the case at a rental, but we slept great every night. My only minor critique would be the small kitchen. We cooked a few nights & it was a tight squeeze. However, everything else was absolutely wonderful & would definitely not keep us from going back. We had 3 adults & 2 teenagers & everyone had plenty of space to be comfortable. We plan to book again next year!

Very comfortable property. Well stocked snd great layout. Had both units with 18 people and had plenty of room. It would have been nice to have a garbage disposal on the sink. With teens cleaning up after meals the dink was a mess. We did have a visit in the yard from 2 rather large snakes and several rats. But overall was a great week.

Thank you so much for the review. I am glad you found our beach house comfortable, with plenty of room for the 18 of you. It is always nice to hear how well the house works with larger groups. Although we do not have garbage disposals in the sinks (we have heard from other owners that guests tent to clog them) we do have sink strainers which should help with food clean ups. Thank you for letting me know about the snakes, I hate them. Luckily, I have never seen one at our beach house. I will make sure we take care of the ones you saw. For the rats, those are Cotton Rats, some people call them beach squirrels. They are found throughout the southeast in grassy habitats – along the coast they are commonly found in the sand dunes, using the sea oats and other plants for cover, and food, mostly eating plant material and seeds. As they are not seeking garbage, and prefer to stay clear of humans they are considered harmless. My daughters get very excited if they see one. Thanks again, Robert

Wonderful house and owner!

My husband and I brought our 2 kids(ages 12 & 11) and we stayed on one side of the house, while 2 other couples stayed on the other side of the house. The kitchen, living and dining room were in the middle. Great deck to relax on and watch the sun rise. The common area under the unit was a nice place to relax out of the sun. We were near some turtle nests and some people in our party got to see 2 baby turtles make their way to the ocean. We really liked the key pad entry so you don't have to worry about keeping up with keys. The Oak Island lighthouse is only about a 35 minute drive, but you must make reservations online at least 2 weeks in advance. We absolutely LOVED this house. We would recommend you bring a teflon coated pan to cook eggs otherwise they stick to pan badly. The owner was very nice and accommodating, the unit was very clean and the beds were comfy! We would definitely recommend and will stay there again when we return!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay in the lower unit. This year we replaced all the cookware with a new stainless steel set, and although two of the stainless pans are supposed to be non-stick, we will definitely put one or two Teflon coated pans in each unit. Thanks.

Great beach house and location.

We so enjoyed our week at the beach. The house was clean and beach access was easy. I started each morning sitting on our shaded porch with my steaming cup of coffee, a beautiful view of the ocean, and watching the birds dive bomb for fish. Everyone was able to go back and forth from the house to the beach with no worries. The house was the typical older beach house, which is just what I wanted. I sure didn’t want to spend my family vacation worrying myself sick about the kids tracking in a little sand. My only complaint, which is all my fault, was this was an upstairs/downstairs rental. I really didn’t think this was a deal breaker, but the folks over us had a couple of young boys. Early in the morning and later at night the running and jumping from overhead was a little irritating. Children are children, and it was there vacation too. Next year I hope to find a house like this one, but for a single family. Overall this was a wonderful vacation.
