About this property

Large cabin - all appliances - 3 miles from large lake; River Tubing, water park

This cabin is totally off the grid with its own septic, water and electricity powered by solar. If the power lines go down, we don’t care. With 24 panels and a backup generator, there is never a problem. The cabin is brand new, and I want my guests to treat it like their home. My wife was a voice teacher, so she does NOT permit any smoking in the cabin. BUT there is a gazabo just outside and many acres of land to wonder around if you like.

As noted, the cabin is 1700 square feet, with 1 bath and 2 bedrooms. The living room also has two chairs that recline into beds. There is a large (70-inch TV with internet service and DirecTV which allows for virtually any movie, HBO, ESPN, etc. The kitchen is totally new and is complete (washer/dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, etc. It really is a home away from home.

Blanco is an old fashion town with numerous shops, restaurants, and parks. In fact, it still has a Nine-Pin bowling alley. But at the same time the Blanco River that runs through the town has many areas for swimming and picnicking. And just two miles out of town is the Vaaler Creek golf course (Voted the #1 Course in the Texas Hill Country by Golf Now)! Located inside the Rockin' J Ranch, this championship course of 18 holes features well-placed bunkers and beautiful water-features that provide a challenging, yet relaxing round of golf for players of all skill levels. Rockin' J Ranch is over 1000 acres of rolling hill country land and is home to the course. The ranch has some 150-year-old homes, and all the street names are named after Texas Rangers. Actually, there are 3 other top notch golf courses within 20 minutes of the Cabin. So ,if you want golf, Swimming, Boating, River Tubing, Water Slides, strolling through an old Texas town, or just want the solitude of a brand-new cabin in the woods, Morgan Haus is the place to visit. And, yes, the people here in Texas ARE super friendly.

This is not some big professional rental outfit. It is privately owned, and I take great pride in making my guests feel like family.

I’m retired and live on our 70-acre wooded lot, so you will have no problem contracting me should there be any issues (of which I hope are none) regarding the rental!

Just call he main house 830992-1251 and we will collect the key

Since the electricity is supplied by Solar Panels, try to turn off appliances (A/C, Lights, etc.) when you go out.

The local town - Blanco, Texas is extremely friendly with lots of Antique shops, restaurants, parks and a great golf course. Situated within the Rockin' J Ranch, Vaaler Creek Golf Club is a championship 18-hole course known for its well-placed bunkers, beautiful water features, and scenic views of the Texas Hill Country. It is recognized as one of the top golf courses in Texas and is suitable for both casual and competitive play. in fact, there are actually 4 golf courses within 20 miles of Blanco, providing a variety of options for golfers at any level. There is even an old-fashion 9-pin Bowling alley. in town.
